Daniel Cormier staying at heavyweight, wants Frank Mir on FOX

That would be a badass fight. I would love to see Mir vs. Cormier on FOX. I would also love to see Cormier against Jones, but I'm guessing Cormier would have a hard time making 205, and him staying at HW proves it to certain point.

Cormier is a nightmare matchup for Mir. Frank would be getting knocked out for what? The 6th or 7th time? I lost count..

He's calling out Mir because they were already scheduled to fight on a Strikeforce card, but ended up not happening. Mir pulled out of the fight due to injury and I believe the entire card was cancelled. He made comments about how he really wants that fight at the Cain/JDS PPV because of how he was training for it and looking forward to it.

Cormier won't be able to jump straight into LHW. He'll have to take a couple of fights at HW while working his way down to at least 220 so he can make the cut.

cormier vs mir on fox 6 in san jose makes sense and I could see it headlining that card. Promote it as 'the outsider' undefeated (if he gets past staring) former strikeforce HW champ Daniel Cormier vs a 2x HW champ Frank Mir.

would be a very good fight for a FOX card, introduce a top contender in Cormier and also allow Mir to be on FOX, good to see a lot of these top guys get their chances on FOX (such as Mir, Machida, Rampage, Shogun, Penn) like the older guys/legends that can be shown to the newer audiences

Even though I have DC to win that potential fight, people are counting Mir out.
If DC decides to fight inside the guard of Mir, he is in danger-he was in the guard of Barnett but Barnett is more of a heavy top guy, not really known for offence off his back.
That being said I don't see DC taking that chance, would rather just kick box with him. :(|)

He needs a brain transplant if he takes Mir down/sits in his guard coz he will get submitted pretty fast. Like you say he will keep it standing and probably get a stoppage.

I suppose if Mir can sub Nog he can sub DC, but I feel really good technical wrestlers arent as prone to making those slight body positioning mistakes that a guy like Mir would jump all over.
