I've watched MMA for a long time and I have to say i prefer the Striker/BJJ:er.
Its just my personal opinion but for some reason i feel it's more skill involved in striking and BJJ:ing then in wrestling and GnP:ing.
Im not saying one is more effective then the other but for me, striking and BJJ is constant exchanges of knowledge in what ur doing, quick movement and crazy tricks which is really what MMA is to me.
While wrestling ofcourse takes skill, but once you get someone down it's real easy to just keep the preassure right on him, GnP a bit and win and the other guy can't really do much about it.
I really dislike that MMA is turning into a marathon competition.
I just find it a bit dull..
In Pride, if you took someone down and didnt try to posture up to create space to do real damage with the ground n pound, you would get yellow carded. This space created is exactly what the guy on the bottom needs to use his BJJ or try to get out of the situation. I think it worked real well.
What u guys think?
Ps sorry for all the polls
