"Rousimar Palhares tested positive for elevated testosterone and Joey Beltran tested positive for nandrolone, following their respective bouts at UFC on FX 6 in Australia. The UFC organization has a strict, consistent policy against the use of any illegal and/or performance-enhancing drugs, stimulants or masking agents. Both athletes have agreed to serve a nine-month suspension retroactive to December 14. They must pass a drug test upon completion of the suspension before receiving clearance to compete again.”

use to be a big Palhares fan, he's fallen off the wagon pretty hard and it really saddens me to see because he really is a talented guy.

as far as Beltran; I respect the shows he puts on but I can't really say im a big fan so besides being upset to hear more athletes abusing substances it doesn't bother me like Palhares. I expect it will fall harder on Palhares as well seeing as he's the bigger name and buffer fighter (see overeem)

Yah I'm still a fan of his...I just dont think he's getting the complete mma game being fought to him at BTT...If he wants to stay in ADCC fine dudes worldclass already...but if he wants to be the best at mma he needs to go to Nova union or blackhouse...he just does not get the striking and wrestling at thr elite level he needs as the guys he's fighting

Pure talent and drive can take you damn far but time and time again has how u can't get to the top unless you have the holy trinity of Talent,Drive,Coaching...if one of them is missing you will never get to the top

I took the steroids but I wasn't are I did, I impregnated this **** but I wasn't aware I did.

Its easy to make up a story....regardless I'm sure it's easily dis-proven and his fault regardless.

What's with all the international events having juicers? (UFC 153, Macau, Smashes) Do fighters think that they have a better chance at getting away with it?

Only thing I will say is at least Beltran won his fight juiced up, Palhares dropped his nuts in the first minute or so and was backpedalling the whole fight while cheating, embarrassing

I don't hate any fighter, but I really despise ROIDINHO.

He's one dimensional and gets praised for it, he holds onto subs after his opponents tap, he acusses fighters of greasing when he can't get the hold he wants, he ALWAYS makes up excuses when he loses and now we know what any person with half a brain cell should've known by now, he's a cheater.

I lol the term "strict" 9 month suspension does what to curb these guys?It is obviously an epedemic,don't let the numbers fool you,there are MANY if not all using it,it is just a matter of getting caught ,going over the limit.

Next point leads back to that "limit".It is NOT a strict guideline,they are allowed to go over NORMAL limits,they are told .8 is the limit ,but i wonder if even that has leeway.

If they want to use the term STRICT,then ban the cheats forever,that will curb at least most of the other users or at best ,tone it down a lot.
