Tito Ortiz wants warm-up fights for Cyborg at bantamweight before facing Ronda Rousey

That seems like a good idea. Cyborg has been sidelined for over a year, and she will have cage rust when she makes her debut, but she also risking a huge payday if she loses in her warm up fight.

Idk should she fight Ronda right off the bat or get a warm up fight?

it depends on how you look at it. the womens division is painfully shallow you can give fights to rousey and maybe she retains the belt and builds a reputation while you build up cyborg by making her fight a few times. the problem there is im sure cyborg will clean out the division and be left with no challenges plus rousey could lose the belt before fighting cyborg possibly leaving her at the top as an almost immediate contender and making the womens division look a wee bit less legit.

option 2 you can give cyborg the immediate title shot and she destroys rousey more than likely. this would give us a dominant champ with plenty of challenges giving rousey plenty of challengers to earn her way back to a title shot. im sure there are problems with that route but i see it as the better option.

Hell has frozen over on earth!! I agree w/ Tito on this one :((

I think it would be a smarter move to build Cyborg up w/ "warm-up" fights. . . She has been out for a long time & Cyborg absolutely needs to shake off ring rust.

Plus she needs to get an idea/feel for performing on a weight cut.

Why does Tito care? Did Ronda take Jenna away from him?

    (maybe he manages her)

He is right about this, she needs to get used to fighting at that weight plus they also need to see if she can even make that weight. If she can't the best idea is try and find a catch weight for them.

It's by far the biggest womens fight out there so they would be stupid not to try and build up to it and get interest even higher, If Cyborg comes back and destroys it in her come back fight and Rousey holds her belt people will wanna see it even more.

Tito is making a reasonable request in my opinion; especially as if Cyborg loses to Rousey I doubt she would be given a second shot.

It's strange I actually like Tito as a coach / manager as he seems to really care about his fighters which you can really see when he was a coach on the ultimate fighter. Yet as a fighter I can't stand him with how he acts and has excuses for everything.

It's obvious Cyborg should fight someone else at 135 or simply have another fight period before a title shot. ... esp the long layoff AND Ronda has a fight booked ... so she's supposed to continue to sit on the shelf until Ronda is ready to fight again?

    Laughable..

Here's the whole deal, if it wasn't for Ronda, the majority of woman's MMA would be in Invicta right now.

That's not a bad thing, in fact I'd prefer if all women were there. Not because I hate WMMA but because that's where 99% of the WMMA talent pool has gathered.

Wouldn't be a bad thing. It's not that I dislike women's MMA but there are enough weight classes / divisions in the UFC already in my opinion.
