I'm having a hard time seeing Diaz beating GSP. I just see him taking Diaz down to the ground over and over again for five rounds.
I know Diaz has nasty bjj, but GSP is just as skilled on the ground. I don't see him getting caught. Shields wasn't even able to take GSP down so how much would it really help Diaz be training with him?
Jake may have lost to GSP but I think he looked the best against him better then anyone did in a long time
Jake has always been an important part of cesar's camp so why not now when he has the most experience against GSP out of anyone at that camp?....why would anyone not ask a training partner for help when that person already fought your next opponent?
Also there are something you can't pick up by just watching tape on a guy...there are things you only learn by going against that person and Jake has that going for him
Jake gets a bad rap but the guy is a damn good fighter and is a really smart fighter it seems...anyone would be very lucky to have him in thier corner come fight time
Sig record 40-21

Diaz will be sharpening up his eye poke technique. Shields was able to steal 2 rounds with them, if only he had implemented them in the early rounds, he could be the champ rai nao

Jake may not be able to set up takedowns like gsp due to his lack of striking/speed, but in straight grappling I'm sure shields could mimic gsp almost perfectly, shields has taken down everyone with ease so far including dan Henderson. Nick may have a better chance than I thought using shields, 3 months training with jake and nick should be ready for the worst hopefully.
I don't think it will help Diaz much. Shields and him have very different styles and I don't see Diaz changing his style for this fight. Even if he wants to change his style for this fight I can't see him being able to take GSP down. If the fight goes to the ground it will be GSP deciding to take it there, and I can't see Diaz subbing him from his back.

everyone else with ease i do believe you mean. this is gsp we're talking about. if shields couldnt really manage to take this guy down, how is he going to teach diaz how to do it? if anything he's just practicing jiiujitsu with diaz, but even thats not gonna matter. shields hasnt submitted anybody relevant in years and lay and praying hendo and kampmann wasnt really much of an accomplishment.
if anything, diaz is gonna be on his back this whole fight and is going to be overwhelmed and have no answer for gsp's relentless attack/smothering. it dont matter if steven seagull teaches him some of his home made jiujitsu moves he invented last week...diaz is still **** either way
gsp via decision. 50-45. theres no way he's gonna let diaz's mouth get into his head and thats all diaz has in this fight. gsp aint dumb enough to get caught in a submission when hes controlling position, and hes not going to just stand there and brawl with diaz either. takedown all day long.
thats how im calling this fight, so thats how it is gonna be. why? because i called it, and my precision is very precise when it comes to predicting fights when im drunk.

Haha this.
The haters love to leave out that Shields didn't do anything in that fight until after the eye poke/pokes.
gsp looked dreadful in his fight with shields he was so close to throwing in the towel.
is shields jj really that much better than nicks? imo its very close. Maybe all thoguh unlikely gsp will be in fear of Nicks ground game and will want to stand with nick?

I am an idiot for thinking GSP could finish the P4P GOAT Nick Diaz within 5 rounds.
