Condit: Rory’s trying to figure out who he is

Carlos Condit (28-6) thinks Rory MacDonald's (14-1) borderline creepy shtick is genuine. Fresh from his loss to UFC welterweight king Georges St Pierre (23-2), "The Natural Born Killer" reflected on the March 16 clash with "The Canadian Pyscho." Condit told MMA Fighting he planned to use the 23-year-old's seething emotions against him.

On MacDonald's unique brand of trash talk
"He's his own guy, he's trying to figure out who he is. I think we all go through that ... I felt that vibe being around him over the past couple of years too. I think it's pretty legit man, I think he's genuine."

On MacDonald vs Penn and the upcoming rematch
He looked really good. His stand-up's come a long way, he's kinda developed a lot of new weapons ... I think (he looked) more versatile. He had more tools in his toolbelt ... I had a feeling he was going to (call me out), I know that his loss to me wasn't sitting well with him and, you know, I was excited man. Like I said, it's a great fight, we're going to put on a hell of an entertaining fight ... I gotta be better than I was in the last fight. He's coming into the fight with a lot of emotion, a lot of anger and I really feel like I'm going to be able to use that to my advantage."

i would give rory the technical advantage but would in no way count carlos out, they are both dangerous guys but i just feel like carlos has that much more of a killer instinct than rory. rory seems more like a preditor toying with his food.

I sure hope Condit does some serious lasting damage to Rory that would leave him immobilized for a month or so, cause when Rory loses he'll go on a killing spree or something.

I agree with everything Condit said, especially about Rory being angry and not sitting well with that loss. He should be able to use that to his advantage.

I'd rather see Rory win but as long as it is a good fight IDK.

This is like Cerrone/Pettis. My favorite two fighters in their perspective divisions fighting their asses off.

i dont think condit would stick and run in a rematch with diaz unless it was another contender fight which he would do anything to guarantee a win.

In truth there was a decent chance condit would have beat diaz had he just been himself in that fight

I'm tired of counting Condit out, man :P I think Rory is stronger and will probably get him down and (t)ko him, but with Carlos you just never know what crazy **** he'll throw and tag you with. Awesome fight though.

i watched the first fight last night from 115 i think it was rory dominated the first 2 rounds n shouldve finished condit unfortunately will be tapping in 1st or 2nd this time round :(

ALL and i mean ALL of that trash talk and mumbo jumbo is hype the UFC asks them to put out there,i am not interested in any of it.Well i am partially interested in Chael's trash because the more he tries it,the more his IQ looks like it is dropping faster than the US dollar.
