UFC contender Chael Sonnen (27-12) took time out with MMA Fighting to talk about his former division, middleweight. Sonnen is coaching one half of the middleweight contestants on the new The Ultimate Fighter 17: Jones vs Sonnen. "The American Gangster" said the UFC's MW division was only getting stronger.

"I think this Luke Rockhold is a really special athlete that not a lot of guys know about. Tim Kennedy was the best-kept secret in this sport. Not a lot of guys are going to beat either of those guys. And Jacare's a handful. Ed Herman's the real deal and Jacare made that look easy."

Rockhold beat Jacare there wasn't much controversy on that decision. There was a good bit of controversy on Jacare's win over Kennedy though.
