I don't want Silva to fight Le, but Weidman is out for a year and all the top contenders have been either derailed or matched up and I honestly don't give Rockhold, Belfort, Costa, the winner of Okami/ Lombard or Jacare a chance against Silva anyway so who cares.

Unless he fights Rashad, GSP or JBJ I don't want him to fight anyone else really.

Why not. Belfort, Philippou, Weidman, and Luke Rockhold all probably possess a more serious challenge to him, but Rockhold and Philippou are too unknown, Weidman is injured, and Belfort hasn't gotten people clamoring for a rematch yet. At least with Cung Le it'd be marketable and could very well be exciting. As long as Silva and his camp don't win the fight and then sit out for another year or so I'm cool with it.

I hope this isn't true. Things like this will ruin his legacy. The champion ( whatever the sport may be- golf, darts, swimming etc) should face the most challenging competition available. Otherwise you aren't a champion at all and more akin to a bully.

What would be interesting about it? Anderson is clearly superior in every area. Anderson is looking for easy fights. First he wanted Bisping and now Cung Le. Who next, CB Dollaway?

Seriously, if the MW is too shallow to give him serious opponents, then do the same as what they are doing with Jones, who now faces a guy from another division second time in a row. Ironically, guys whom Silva has beaten already.

Give him Nick Diaz, give him Carlos Condit from WW - they're both the same hight and identical reach as Silva. And if they come lighter than Silva that's even better, because you need speed against him; Silva doesn't bully anyone around with power wrestling.

Or bring guys from LHW - Rashad Evans knows he ain't gettin' anywhere at LHW anymore during the Jones reign. And he's growing old.

Anderson has said he wants to fight in the spring and Weidman said he's returning in the Spring... Seems like things line up quite well, too bad Anderson doesn't want the fight.
