Can't wait for these two to go at it. I got Edgar beating Aldo especially since he has been training with Edson Barbosa who has similar striking to that of a Jose Aldo.

I definitely have Edgar outclassing Aldo everywhere. I think Edgar will use some clinching and dirty boxing to wear Aldo down, then outbox him with better footwork.

It should actually be a great fight. Edgar is hard to put out and Aldo tends to tire in the later rounds. Aldo takes it 3 rounds to 2 imo.

He might be able to pull it off but I give him a very small chance of doing that

Aldo sets up his leg kicks so well and they are vicious on top of that

I can see Aldo definitely using a lot of leg kicks to slow Frankie down, I think the early rounds will be like the 2nd Maynard fight I can see Aldo rocking him badly with a knee or punch then maybe even finishing him if not taking a UD.

Yeah probably. Prob wants to weaken his movement and be able to explode on Frankie and lessen the chance of Frankie taking him down.

Edgar won't have issues with those leg kicks. He's quick enough and smart enough to know that Aldo is going to use them. Benson has strong leg kicks and he caught and stopped a lot of them. He might not catch Aldo's kicks but he'll definitely see them coming and check them. I give Edgar the slight advantage but won't be surprised if Aldo catches him with a good right or left jab and then TKO's him.

I think Edgar will win for the exact same reason I picked Alabama in the National Championship: he's used to tough competition. This guy has been through the gauntlet at LW, and stepping down in competition can only make it easier for him to win.

Aldo is on most peoples p4p list and high up on it at that, I don't see this as Edgar stepping down in competition at all.
