Notice no Jones fans haha. He wonders why he has no fans except train jumpers, maybe he shouldn't be the biggest coward, hypocrit, honourless champion in UFC history with the most arrogant attitude, he makes Chael look like a prince.
However at least we won't have an embarrasment as our Champion, Sonnen is educated, he's marketable and likeable. Jones is a drunk driving with escorts, spitting in Shoguns and Machida's face, while disrespecting RAmpage, all guys who built the foundation for this entitled little brat. He needs to get knocked out badly, like Evans did.
The thing with jones is that for some reason people just dont like him. He's a great fighter, probably to become the GOAT, but i am with chael in this one. I would like to see chael holind a belt before he retires. Just my opinion thoug
I think Jones wins easily. If Sonnen gets lucky, the UFC will turn into the WWE, with everybody getting their title shots with their mouths, not their fights.
Think about it like this, Jones is good at using his reach everybody knows that but his weakness is something nobody has ever tried to get him at Joe and others are always saying it. He (Jones) has tiny legs for LHW if somebody would kick them or actually try take him down it would probably be all but easy keeping him down though is a different story but who says Sonnon can't do it!! he is really good on the ground i mean he was able to keep Silva on the ground even when he fought clean and not saying he would have beat Silva in the rematch but i don't think it would have ended no time close to when it did if he had not tried that silly spinning back fist
EASY vote,i don't want Sonnen to win any fight,he is bad for this sport. This is not the WWE,i don't get impressed by his antics or childish mouth, maybe he can get a part beside Jay Onrait, with those goofy grins and smiles, like an old man trying to be a class clown, more like just a clown imo. I think if Chael quit with his circus act,he coud lactually learn something and get somewhere, but he must have already decided he can't learn anything at this point,so stoops to roids and whatever that persona he tries to imploy is suppose to be doing for his skills...idk.
Anyone that has paid attention has already seen his impact on the rest of the sport, now MANY fighters are trying the trash talk method and calling out to get fights.
Not only do i not like Sonnen,i actually like Jones,he is the best fighter in the UFC right now.
I hate GSP because....insert jealous excuse here >" ".
I don't have nearly as much of a problem with Jones as most of you do. If you don't like the guy, that is your right and I wouldn't want you to change your mind about the guy if that's the way you feel. My only issue is that some people seem to hate the guy because they have nothing better to do apparently. By all means, if the man has wronged you in some way then you should hate him, but to go out of one's way to make some sort of elaborate excuse as to why you hate the guy is nonsense, and by my observations pathetic. The same goes to the Sonnen lovers. I get it, he's a fun guy. He entertains me as well, I won't lie, but to put the guy on a pedestal and consider him an all-time great, as some do, is delusional.
With that being said, I enjoy Sonnen's shtick as much as the next guy, but since the build-up to the first Anderson fight it has gotten painfully old. I know he's hyping the fight to sell tickets, but if he really wants to attract fans, in my opinion, he should show people the real Chael, like Renzo Gracie once suggested. I don't like some the things that Jones has said and done, and I can understand why people are so quick to act as if he punched their mother, but I think people need to let it go. He's 25 years old. He's been thrust into the spotlight and has done pretty well with everything considering people just wait for him to make the slightest mistake so that they can put him under the microscope and analyze him to death. He's said and done some very dumb things, but we're basically watching this kid grow up before our very own eyes. I think he could use a little bit of a break once in a while. I'm sure most people in his position would appreciate that.
I hated Jones when he got DQed in the Hamill fight, almost blinding a deaf man, but since then I've grown to appreciate the fact that he's basically still an infant in the fight game, which makes the fact that he's been able to do what he has thus far even more incredible. He's still learning the sport. Aside from that, I hear people say that he acted disrespectful during the Shogun fight...I never saw anything like that. The only thing I saw that could be misconstrued as disrespect was the beating he gave him. Then I hear that he was disrespectful during the Rampage fight. I will say that the thing he did at the end of the one round where he almost flipped Rampage off of his shoulders was a bit childish, but it really wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. Rampage was infinitely more disrespectful in the build-up to the fight, but it still doesn't make it right, clearly. Some people tend to think he was disrespectful against Machida when he choked him out and dropped his body to the ground...because that doesn't happen often right? What do you want the guy to do, gently place his unconscious body on the ground, pat him on the head and ask if he's all right? Then there was the Evans fight. There was a whole lot of trash talk between them in that one, but they were both in the wrong. That was more of a crime of passion (figure of speech) between former friends. Everybody knows Rashad has a Napolean complex, and Jones had the "little brother" syndrome leading up to that fight, but when all was said and done, it was squashed. The only people who seemed to care any more were the fans. I don't get that... There was the DWI, which was clearly the dumbest thing he's done to this point, and he should be ashamed, but people have gone on about this way too long. He broke the law, he payed for it, move on. It has nothing to do with MMA. Then there's the UFC 151 cancellation that somehow falls solely on Jones. Forget the fact that Dan Henderson waited more than a week to let the UFC know he was hurt... Forget the fact that Dana White booked one of the weakest cards he'd ever put together, relying on his champion to make him money... Forget the fact that Sonnen had been training for months with Henderson in preparation for Jones and that Jones would only have had 8 days to prepare for Chael... That was clearly all Jon's fault, right??
Regardless, all I'm really trying to say is don't let blind emotion cloud your ability to be a true MMA fan. Just watch the fights and appreciate that both of these guys are gonna go through hell to win the fight. Who really cares who wins or loses, as long as neither of them act like chumps. You don't have to like either of these guys, but at least give them the respect that they've earned in the Octagon. I like both of these guys for different reasons, but I'm leaning toward Jones for this fight. Firstly, because any time people are hated so much for so little I tend to cheer for them, but that's just me. Secondly, because I think he's good for the sport. Love him or hate him, people watch him. Whether you want him to win, want him to lose, or you just want to be amazed, you can't help but pay attention to the guy. I, for one, would like the possibilty for a superfight between Jones/ Silva or Jones/ whoever the Heavyweight champ may be at that time in the near future to remain a possibilty. Don't you?
so judging by this, 75% of UFC fans will be crying when Jones wins. This is why I root for Jones.
Ok troll. Troll because other people make some factual opinions on Jones actions. Clearly your the reason the UFC gets a bad name for being dumwitted dinosaurs, with no conscience, but just a following subconscious, pathetic.
Hey Zaksame, you do know Jones drinks and drives with escorts? Turns down championship fights ruining UFC events? Signs himself as champion before beating one of GOAT in Shogun? Do you not know MMA or you just another troll like Indiglow? GJ half wit, because your not a hypocrit.

With Hendos pending decapitation of Machida, I'm forced to root for JBJ because I dont want Dan to have to fight Chael. They're teammates and it would probably be an even worse version of Hendo/Shields.
So reluctantly, I want Jones to win....
Wait is the TUF finale before or after Machida/Hendo?

Im rooting for Chael. He use to rub me the wrong way before until I realize it is all a show for him. There is nOthing wrong with a WWE moment in the UFC every now and then.

good post...i remember my first post was extremely well thought-out as well
honestly, you make extremely legit points here and at the end of the day, you do have to give someone a break instead of waiting with a microscope anytime someone says the wrong thing
