...after seeing both fights at lightweight and featherweight, in my opinion, I really think he performs better in lightweight. What about you guys??? Not that Im a big fan of the guy...

I think his speed and explosiveness gives him a huge advantage at LW. He can essentially outpoint anyone and has a good chance at winning the belt back. The caveat to that, though, is he'd continue to take heavy damage and -- despite his insane heart -- that's not really healthy if you're thinking long-term.

If you're looking at how everyone else is doing it, he's probably a good fit for 135, even 125 if you wanna get a little crazy. He's the same size as Faber when you look at his body type. Dude didn't even have to cut weight to make 145lbs.

Any way you look at it, it's not over for Edgar. He has a lot of time ahead of him and can still become a two division champion.

In my opinion Frankie Edgar would probably work his away to a title shot with ease at 135. I think he would beat the winner of Renan Barao and Michael McDonald but I have a feeling that because it's an interim belt he might stay at 145.

Looking at him it's obvious he is a BW. He is the same height as Faber and Faber looks to still be the wider, more muscular guy. At 145 he will still run into dudes that could easily fight at 155, so... plus you have Aldo sitting on top of the division... He should really give it a thought if he ever wants to be remotely close to being champ, lose those 10 lbs and fight guys your own size.

Remotely close? He's Top 2 at both LW (#1) and FW (#2). How much closer can you get besides being the champ? lol

Well he hasn't really fought ALL the top guys at LW or FW to know that for sure. I think there are a few guys at both weightclasses that could really pose problems in his championship aspirations.

He almost beat Aldo and there's no one else close to Aldo at FW I'd say for sure he's top. LW has tougher competition all-round but Frankie should be the champ and #1 right now.

Frankie needs his speed advantage, he should fight at 155. Dana has said he's not going back up though. Shows Dana doesn't let the fighters decide what they want.

I think he could fight in any of the lower classes as there is just a 10 pound difference or something like that between all of them, I dont know how well he would do if he cut too much weight tho.

He dropped a weight class and was still smaller then the champ lol. he could make 135 easy and would still not be the biggest guy in that division.

I'd also like to see him at 135. Scott Jorgenson, one of my favorite bantamweights, said we walks around at 160 between camps. He's an average sized bantamweight who's certainly no smaller than Edgar is.

135 or 145.

He looks waaay better at 145 than at 155, that's a fact. But that doesn't mean he's automatically better than Aldo and that's why he lost.
