I somewhat agree with Silva. I do think Werdum standup is very underrated and better than Velasquez, but I think Velasquez can lay in his guard without getting submitted,

considering his fight with overeem where he looked terrified to stand and both fighters produced a boring fight im not convinced.

Werdum vs Cain is the most interesting match up at HW. Werdum has amazing BJJ and has really picked his striking game up to a new level. Even at the level he was previously at he was able to out strike Overeem. Now he's a whole new beast.

I definitely agree with him. Whilst I do believe Cain would beat Werdum, I still think Werdum has the best chance of anyone in the division to beat Cain. I can picture him locking in a sub.

werdum's stand up is more dynamic than cain's imo. His clinch is brutal and Cain won't be able to get comfortable in his guard because Werdum is dangerous off his back.
