I understand his frustration, but Pettis vs. Aldo is the fight the majority of the fan's want to see. I think Lamas should fight KZ for the number one contender spot.

no offense to lamas, his time will come, but get over it. I understand if he's mad about the timing (august ???) but he hasn't done enough. A win over KZ on a main card should do it.

Wtf has Pettis done? Lost to guida..... Guida just went down to FW and he didn't get a title shot...... He has to earn it.....and I **** hate guida.... Pettis is the number one contender in the lightweight division....... He should at least have to fight a top contender in FW before he gets a shot at the crown.

I can totally understand why he is upset but he should know by now that the ufc is all about giving shots to the guy who the paying public wanna see fight the champ. If he wins his next fight then he should be next in line, now if kz isn't going to be back in time then i would give him guida just for name value.

Out of the 4 title fights(not interim) booked right now, exactly 4 are going to a challenger without a credible UFC win in that division.

I think Lamas and Hendricks and any LHW have the right to whine a little bit.

Lamas wins against bums, gets completely lucky in his last fight and thinks he deserves a shot? Talk to Fitch or Maynard or Miller about Title shots, they needed 8 wins in a row? and Miller still didn't get one?

The UFC weren't looking to give him a title shot regardless of what Pettis did anyway. They just would have waited for KZ to return from injury.

You may be right, but they were also going to give Koch a title shot based on lack of a clear no 1 contender at the time. Now they've got Lamas, KZ and the Swanson/Poirier winner that could all make a better case than a guy who has never even made the cut to FW.

i would still rather see Pettis vs Henderson,and it should have happened before Melendez vs Henderson.Aldo is talking about moving up eventually .Maybe the UFC IS LOOKING FOR A MARKETABLE FW CHAMPION TO TAKE HIS PLACE.
