It's true that Schaub is more skilled, but I don't see that helping him here. He doesn't have the takedowns needed to take Johnson out of his comfort zone. It sucks actually. I hate seeing fighters work hard to no avail.

It's not really a mismatch due to Lavar's terrible ground game. I don't even know if you can say he has a ground game. Pat Barry almost subbed him. If Schaub gets him on his back hes in just as much trouble as Schaub would be on their feet in my opinion.
Schaub has to know by now that he doesn't have the chin to eat punches from the heavyweights hes in there with. Especially someone with as much power as Johnson. If Schaub has any smarts at all he will be looking to take this fight to the ground and keep it there. He needs to take after Struve in this fight if he wants any shot of winning.

The odds are stacked against Schaub. Lavar has the higher percentage of winning this fight but I'm sure Schaub is faster and much more well rounded. Its going to be hard not to let Lavar touch his chin. Its a very winnable fight for both.

Johnson is a fast starter he's gonna run at Shaub from the bell and throw bombs! I'd imagine (if he is smart) Shaub has trained almost entirely on takedowns and grappling for this fight him and his team must realise he can't take a punch by now.
Just because the knockout vs knocked out ratio is in Lavar's favor doesn't change the fact that Schaub is 100x faster and more well rounded then Lavar, and will easily exploit his one dimensional game.
There's a reason Schaub asked for this fight, it's an easy win.
Having said that, I'd lol pretty hard if Schaub gets caught early and finished.
I thought that Schaub said he wanted to stand and trade with Lavar Johnson to prove that he doesn't have a glass jaw. Of course, how many times have you heard a fighter say he's going to "stand and bang" only to get in the cage and lay and pray?
