What IF Mir beats Cormier ?!

RodrigoRuaRodrigoRua Posts: 2,408Free
No, I dont think that will happen but hey, this MMA !!!

If Mir beats Cormier Big Nog style ....

1. Where Cormier would go from there ?
2. Would Mir fight Cain/BF winner ?
3. Would Mir simply retire ?
4. Would YOU like to see Mir getting a shot at Cain/BF ?

Have a great day folks

I don't think Mir will retire if he wins this fight. He is sacrificing time away from his family to train for this fight at Jackson's gym, so to me it appears he is taking this fight seriously.

If he wins I think he will get another top 5 heavyweight match up.

Mir - Werdum.... hell yeah! Even though Dana hinted that Werdum would get a title shot during some interview or scrum (can't remember exactly). But I can see it now, IF Werdum beats Nog and Mir beats Cormies (which is HIGHLY unlikely imo), but... anyway :)) :
*Awkward countdown preview voice guy* The top 2 jiu-jitsu specialists a top of the UFC's heavyweight division CLASH, for the very first time!
Fabricio Werdum, fresh of a win over submission legend and former champion Minotauro Nogueira, and Frank Mir, the only man to have stopped the very same opponent by way of knockout AND submission meet in the most anticipated bout in recent UFC memory."
*Joe Rogan* Fabricio Werdum vs Frank Mir IS, without a doubt, THE most important fight in the history of the UFC's heavyweight division, WHEN it comes to grappling. These are THE very BEST heavyweight brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelts in the sport of mma. In Frank Mir you have a former 2-time heavy weight champ, with a nasty guard, and ever improving stand-up, he stopped Minotauro Nogueira via strikes AND submission in the 2nd fight, BREAKING Nogueira's arm, something UNHEARD of, truly a master at the art of jiu-jitsu... BUT in Werdum we have arguably THE MOST skilled pure brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, maybe even in MMA, a huge huge man, he submitted Fedor when Fedor was thought to be invincible, he almost won a stand-up battle with Alistair Overeem, a very very dangerous man for anyone in this division.

*Goldy* And it is all over! Fabricio Werdum!
*Rogan* He's gonna break that arm, Mike!
    *Goldy* Frank Mir!

UFC (what's it's number) Mir vs Werdum!

I think i'd go with werdum, but nobody's getting subbed. It would be neat to watch Werdum in Mirs guard or vice versa.I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MIR GET CHOKED OUT,OR ARMBARRED.Werdums stand up looked pretty crisp against big country, though mir uses more head movement than Roy.This could be close if it happens

werdum its pretty soft in the stand up... if mir wants to get the victory i would try to take a striking fight not a groundgame fight.... but (nelson was oversized by werdum) fabrizio dont like to exchange... the AO fight was pretty ugly and it made me very mad when he asked AO to go to the ground, begging almost.... and the fedor fight was a SMART trap, but a trap, because maybe he knew that in the stand up he could be hurt....

    dont like much werdum

Mir often does that,he becomes a non factor then surprises people.I think it is a combination of a really weak division and maybe some fighters give him no credit.
If Cormier loses it would be a crushing blow to him and the UFC.I beleive they paid him enough to figure on him being of decent market value.
    I hate GSP because....insert jealous excuse here >" ".

If Mir beats Cormier he should retire with a big win.
