This isn't 5'9" 168 pound short limbs BJ Penn. Nick's guard is extremely dangerous.

Even if he doesn't land the submission he's going to beat Grease up off his back but unfortunately the judges won't give him a decision. Georges will look a lot worse then he did after his last fight.

The funny thing is it doesn't matter if GSP takes Diaz down, because it's nothing for GSP to outstrick and/or outbox Diaz on the feet. if GSP bobbs and weaves in the pockets, goes to the body when Diaz puts his hands up, and goes up the middle when Diaz plants his feet, or even punches Diaz in the knee and shoots when he so desires how would you really think Diaz would answer? Honestly. He's not one to throw the best placed or timed knees, or kicks when a guy keeps low; reason in part why Noons had success in the 1st fight and why Diaz was throwing jabs and straights from out the pocket in the rematch.

God forbid GSP comes out like Jon Jones at the beginning of each round. Diaz would be screwed.

Shields has awful striking and no power damaged GSP on the feet he needs to use takedowns to win imo or he will be a mess.

The problem is that he doesn't even mention it ,if it wasn't on his mind.I have heard him and Nate both complain about take downs and wrestling,so it most certainly bothers him.
If he has done any homework at all ,he woulds know that GSP doesn't go for take downs as much anymore.I see tons of opportunities for him to get an easy TD,but he decides to stand instead.GSP has NO combos, that is because he is not fully committing to a striking game,so imo why even bother to stand up so long.

I have no doubt what so ever that Nick is going try his best to talk GSP into a total stand up fight. If he thinks he is worthy of holding a belt, you don't mention ANY aspect of fighting, especially when in the next sentence he says his goal is to be better than everyone else at everything.

That is why i don't like Silva much,he avoids wrestlers like the plague and unlike the Diaz brothers, you will NEVER hear GSp say he doesn't like facing another wrestler or striker.Actually GSP doesn't complain about anything, that is the sign of a true champion,Nick still has that wrestling worry inside of him,

Also his mention of GSP taking it lightly with Silva's calling him out,is thinking with EGO not your brain. You don't get anywhere because you act tough or let your ego control your next move.

Silva fought Sonnen and Okami two of the best wrestlers at MW then is calling out GSP another great wrestler you're talking **** trying to justify GSP being scared of Silva.

Shields was also aggresive and very awkward which worked for him, not gonna lie, but not until after GSP's eye got poked in the 3rd, which alot people speculated as an inverted eye poke for Jake. Regardless GSP was still more effective in the end and kept the fight where it need to be for him to win, which is what's gonna happen to Diaz if Nick can utilize some more tools.

I think obviously the safe choice is GSP UD however Nick poses more problems than he gets credit for and can definitely win a striking fight and do some damage off of his back he has a better ground game than Condit and he done pretty well against GSP there. I just think people who assume Nick is Nate and will get dominated in that fashion will be surprised.

Diaz is going to try to engage and push the pace against GSP. GSP will be pulling a Condit most of the time and when he's not, he'll be taking Diaz down and trying to land some punches while keeping a safe distance on the ground. This is the way I see the whole fight going. There won't be any finishing in this fight, unless it's a freak lucky strike. GSP will come out bloody and messed like he did after the Condit fight and say he put his all into it and tried to be exciting.
If this fight goes any other way, i'll be surprised.

Bj's guard was pretty good too despite being smaller.GSP really has a huge strength advantage in this fight ,not from a punching point of view,And as far as the 5'9'' 168 pound Penn lets not forget Penn was Diaz's only win in the UFC this time around, and now Diaz is fighting a guy with a longer wingspan too(both 76 inch).Diaz may say he doesnt give a **** ,but we have seen good strikers look very average many times, because of the takedown ability of GSP .Diaz's game is very much about those big flurries against the cage AND MOMENTUM ,and he goes to the body extremly well,I just see the takedowns coming way too easy for George AND It will be hard for Diaz to get any sort of Rythym. But hey it's a fight AND we have not seen a big big upset in a while(bigfoot was only mild) you never know.Diaz has sick Jitz ,and imo that's how he wins ,if he can pull off the upset.
