if you read the live chat from 2 weeks ago on ufc.com, you will see that lyoto says it is possible for him to get down to 185. would lyoto machida vs. anderson silva make for a good ppv?

Then he would be a coward ,afraid to fight his real weight class.IMO he has already been working on it.I bet he has been talking with his friend Silva,who will move up to avoid the confrontation.Lytoto used to be a lot bigger,imo he only started keeping his weight down because of his loss to Jones,he feels he needs more quickness.

If he seriously wants top move down,then it had better have to do with him avoiding Silva from moving up.If not a decent excuse,then he might as well come right out and say he is not good enough and will never hold the 205 belt.Moving down does not change your skill level,he woudl still not be good enough,just looking for an added edge using size.

he's a great stylistic matchup vs. wrestlers so chael and weidman would be useless against him. i see him being about equal to vitor and dominating everyone else in the division. if silva moved up, machida would have a great chance of being champ again

vitor, okami, sonnen only guys that could potentially cause problems for machida. I think the mroe exciting news is maybe silva is planning a move up to LHW hence why machida is thinking of going to MW to take the MW belt

i think the above move is best for both fighters, silva has had the mw belt and defended more times than anyone and machida just isnt quite good enough to take the lhw belt from jones and has laready had the belt, both swap weight classes and both become title holders in multiple divisions.

Wouldn't be surprised. He did ask for a CW bout before Jones so if he loses in the mean time I think he may make the jump. He and Andy will not fight but he will certainly be a big player for sure.

Machida has said his ideal weight to fight at would be 185 but it wont happen until anderson retires, he refuses to fight his friend, although i would like to see him make the cut at some point
