Nick Diaz vs GSP: play by play (possibly my last thread)

0:00 Both men are willing to make a statement early by taking the center of the octagon.
0:10 GSP closes the distance with short jabs and goes for a double leg takedown.
3:00 After 3 minutes without any significant damage, with GSP constantly switching from full guard to half guard and Diaz pushing him back, they will finally stand-up.
3:40 They will exchange some jabs with GSP controling the distance with excellence until Diaz starts to provoke by walking forward with hands down.
4:30 GSP starts to like the stand-up and lands good right hands and superman punches and drops Nick Diaz, but doesn't try to finish him.

Diaz shows the middlefinger.

Round 2

0:10 GSP had a great first round and decides not to takedown so early this time.
0:30 GSP realizes that was a horrible idea.
0:40 Diaz alternates between body and head shots as GSP try to walk away.
1:10 GSP tries some sloppy takedowns but his body is not responding so well anymore.
1:40 Diaz gets GSP against the cage and starts the beginning of the end.
2:20 Referee stops the fight as soon he realizes GSP is willing to tap to strikes.

The UFC WelterWeight Champion, AND NEW, Nick Diaz!

Diaz doesn't have the right style to beat GSP. It's going to be someone who can wobble him with a single strike, like Hendricks or Anderson Silva (well aware he won't fight Silva)

Sorry you made a bad bet. On a side note if any Diaz fans feel like doing an AV bet I'll take GSP, and even add the stipulation that if GSP loses more than 2 or more rounds on the majority of the score cards I lose the bet.

First, gsp will not abandon the Greg Jackson gameplan.
Second, if he does have standup in the gameplan, you best believe every time Diaz starts putting together combinations he will find himself on his back with GSP on top.
Third, when was the last time you saw a sloppy GSP takedown? Never because he is explosive and times them perfectly.
Fourth, When does GSP's body stop responding so well any more? Never. Because he's never in danger or takes much punishment to the body.

If Nick wins it's off his back with Jiu Jitsu. You have to catch GSP, you don't outskill him and Nick doesn't have the game changing power needed on the feet.
