GSP & Diaz Size Difference

UFC list GSP as being 5 11" and Nick as 6'. Anyone buy that? At the weigh ins Diaz looked an easy 3" taller. George looked like he was in the wrong weight class.

Beginning to wonder if Diaz will use his size advantage to push him against the cage. If he is able to wear him out this way in the first couple rounds than he may have a chance to take him out in the championship rounds. Highly doubt this will happen but.......

Nick might have the height advantage (if its one), but Georges is def stronger. He wont get tossed around.

at the press conference GSP LOOKED THE SMALLEST OF THE 6.height anyways,condit was a tall WW too and he did good With him.

Nope GSP has always been 5 10 and i thought i remember Nick being 6'2 just like Condit.
IMO Nick is actually quite big for this weight class,he might have crept into the two spot behind Hendrick's.BTW that shows no class by Hendrick's,just because they allow you 1 lb,doesn't mean you have to be unprofessional and take it.Condit came in at 169.

Reason weigh in is a big deal is because they are already allowing these guys to massively cheat the system,at least show up on weigh in at the CORRECT weight,not 1 lb over.

we can clearly see that Condit had a huge height advantage against Diaz, so maybe i was wrong to say it wont be a factor

Georges didn't look that much taller than 5'8 Joe Rogan when he interviewed him with shoes on after the staredown. I wouldn't count out the possibility of him even being in the 5'9 range at the end of the day.

Having said that, GSP is all strength. That's just what he does, it's what he's known for. Height doesn't dictate how strong you are. If anything, your frame would play a bigger part if you were to pick a physical trait. GSP has broad shoulders, whereas Diaz and Condit are built very lanky. Georges also does serious strength and conditioning, as well as bodybuilding, whereas Nick sticks strictly to cardio-based exercises.
