A thread idea inspired by ForceXrecon's zombie thread. Was along the lines of a choose your own adventure. Thought it could be fun to do an MMA themed one minus the zombies, :) of an MMA career from beginning to end. I'm American so hope everybody else doesn't take issue.
Alright. To start, you're a recent high school grad living in Florida. Your of average size, 5'10", 175 lbs. You have no history in contact sports (wrestling, karate, etc.) but you decide the hell with school and you tell your parents you want to use your college savings to fund your dream of becoming a mixed martial artist. Your parents decide if you're dumb enough to forgo college for fighting you probably wouldn't make it in school anyways and they give you the opportunity. With the money you figure it will buy the following. Choose your two base styles.
A. One year in Thailand training muay thai kickboxing and one year in Iowa training wrestling. B. One year in Thailand training muay thai kickboxing and one year in Brazil training BJJ. C. One year in Thailand training muay thai kickboxing and one year in Philadelphia training boxing. D. One year in Iowa training wrestling and one year in Brazil training BJJ. E. One year in Iowa training wrestling and one year in Philadelphia training boxing. F. One year in Brazil training BJJ and one year in Philadelphia training boxing.
After enough votes come we'll progress to the next career decision.
