Okay, punching technique and weight.
I have been steadily gaining weight recently. I was around 148/150 pounds. Now i'm pushing 156/158. Which is nothing to shout about, my question is.
During this time. I have been trying to improve my power. My speed dropped for a while (which was what I had going for me). I was working technique and power over combos and cardio work (while shadow boxing for example).
Well now i've got the weight gain thing happening i'm getting back in shape and my speed is coming back. I've been working the muscles related to acceleration (if that's the wrong name, the muscles on the back of the arm).
But i've been doing lots of general run of the mill pushups and my speed is increasing. I always though it hindered it.
Any advice for somebody not training seriously - just home DIY style. If not - feel free to trash this thread.
