  1. Is Boetsch's nose broken? The announcers don't seem to want to tell us about his nose.
  2. Felder sounds like he drank a bottle of Nyquil before the card started.
  3. This Rocco guy is getting drilled by Kayla Harrison? Interesting.
  4. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
  5. Marion Reneau looks pretty good for 65 years of age.
  6. Not less talented, but he was definitely the least physically imposing among them. They were very careful (their mistake with Ken Shamrock notwithstanding) not to allow any other submission grapplers in.
  7. The thing is, both of these guys have better submission grappling than Royce did back in 1993-1995.
  8. Looks like Dawson got caught with a nice hook but he was still able to grab the double leg. This, of course, his before the announcers were talking about how he was in "special needs classes" as a kid. Doggone it Jon Anik.

Who do you HONESTLY feel could defeat Jones?

Wait a second... the word "b0ner" gets filtered? What kind of dollar store swear filter is this?

Who do you HONESTLY feel could defeat Jones?

Rumble could be a huge problem for him at HW. I still believe Rumble could've beaten DC in the rematch had he actually cared about the fight. You know, fought according to the gameplan, listened to his corner, etc. However, he'd already retired mentally before the fight and just showed up. Once the choke was in he didn't even try to fight it. Still, a Rumble who had quit before he even stepped into the octagon nearly took DC's head off with kick. Truthfully, any top 10 heavyweight could pose problems for **** Jones.

    USADA lied on him, bro.

Mickey Gall gives explanation on the Sanchez loss.

I love the writing style of that article, especially this line: " Mickey Gall was soundly walloped by his exponentially more experienced foe..." It made me chuckle. I guess I don't have a problem with Gall's excuse. If that's what happened, that's what happened. He passed out during the weight cut and had an adrenaline dump in the first round and gassed. He didn't go on and on about injuries or this and that... basically his excuse is reasonable and nowhere near the realm of Brazilian-level excuse making. He even gave credit to Sanchez during his excuse, and not in the form of the usual "Not to take anything away from my opponent, BUT..." nonsense. Gall is annoying but that excuse isn't that bad. I was expecting much, much worse. Now, it would be refreshing for a fighter to not even give an excuse and say something like "I lost because I'm not that great of a fighter", or even something legendary like "I'm a total can, what did you expect?".

    Colby Covington vs Conor McNuggets

Colby is annoying but I gotta admit the guy can keep up the pace. Unless Conor can get an early KO, he simply doesn't have the gas tank to remain competitive.
  14. I agree with pretty much everything folks are saying about Askren/Lawler. The biggest tragedy is that we got robbed of seeing what could've been an amazing fight. When Robbie lifted Askren up, slammed him, the very nearly finished him with ground and pound (I thought it was going to be stopped for a moment there), I was thinking that this would be the perfect "welcome to the UFC" for Askren. You were able to impose your will in Bellator and OneFC, but it doesn't work so well over here. The stoppage was a bummer, but I guess it's better than seeing what Steve Mazagatti let happen to Jon Fitch. I feel bad for Cody Garbrandt. You knew once they just stood in front of one another and starting swinging leather, somebody would go down. I don't know what he was thinking, but later on he did say that he got cracked with a headbutt somewhere in the fight and was just on autopilot after that. I was shocked by how badly Tyron Woodley got dominated. I'm guessing a lot of people were. At that same time, I'm not interested in seeing a rematch. We'll see if the clock has run on Woodley (he's been fighting for a decade now, not to mention the years he spent wrestling) or if he just had a bad night like he said.

    UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith

They had to do a quick edit in his highlight reel so it didn't show him trying to soccer kick a dude.

    UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith

You never know with the UFC, but he did win his previous fight. They'll probably give him a can for one of the ESPN+ fight nights.

    UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith

I can't believe the "high level bjj" guy got taken down and smashed.
  18. Vitor is definitely drilling. I would be relegated to the role of drillee.

    UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith

Nonsense. Just because Jon Jones has a positive culture for staphylococcus doesn't mean he has a staph infection. In fact, he can have positive tests for the next 8 years and never have a staph infection. You need to accept what we're told, not what the physical evidence says.
  20. I'd really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really like to have full penetrative sexual intercourse with Vitor Belfort.
  21. The tiny tornado Tecia Torres will shock the world with her knockout power. She will flatline her opponent with one punch.

    UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith

Look folks, Novitzky has done another media release explaining why Jones' positive steroid test really isn't a positive steroid test. I know it seems like a bunch of excuses dressed up in scientific jargon (much like a SCOTUS decision is political opinion dressed up in legalese), but we have to agree with the experts here. We need to accept the fact that Jon Jones has roughly the next 8 years to freely test positive for minute traces of steroids without any further consequences. Just because someone has anabolic steroids in their system doesn't mean they're cheating.
  23. I'm one of the nerds that thinks the 165lb division is a great idea. Create 165, move the current 170 class to 175. That would solve the Woodley/Askren issue, although of course that's not the reason for the creation of the new class. I think they should do a 195 as well, and perhaps a 225. Of course, each division should have a minimum of one interim title holder in addition to the actual champ.

    PVZ broke her arm again

Dang. Is she having all her surgeries in Brazil? That would explain a lot.
