Kevin Lee on weightcutting "We're all just waiting for someone to die"

Weigh in when they check into hotel - weigh in on Media day - weigh in on official weigh in day, weigh in 2 hours before fight time. Can't be more than 10lbs difference between hotel weigh in and fight time weigh in. Would help fighters to maintain a reasonable weight for a longer period of time. Having only 1 weigh in is what is bastardizing the whole process. Come in overweight to any of the weigh ins - 10% of fight purse goes to pay for the additional staffing for the additional weigh ins (on top of the penalty percentage being paid to opponent)

Tell that to the military.... In any other sport that should apply to all the players that don't make it to the field. What obligation did Max meet again???

It's not the doctors fault the patient isn't there and he trained for heart surgery not a nose job....your analogy was stupid to begin with, it's just getting stupider as it continues. He did what his contract asked him to do - give him Max's show money, max didn't do anything. Dana shouldn't get paid either, the fight he booked and promoted never happened.

They hired you to be a heart surgeon with the potential to earn the "Doctor of the year" and now on 3 days notice they want you to give a nose job with the potential for "employee of the hour"......

Stephens has been doing this how long? How old is he now? How many opportunities to fight for a belt has he had? How many losses to guys Ortega has already beat? How many guys that Stephens beat has Ortega lost to? I get it though, you like to root for the underdog. He better hurry though, clock is tickin - only another couple years that he might have any sort of relevance. He is like Diego Sanchez, fun as hell to watch but you know a belt is probably never going to be around his waist - but he can have the interm "hood as ****" title for this week (until the next "hood as ****" guy steps up to tell everyone how hard they are.

Yeah - that is why after being in the same position that Ortega is currently in Frankie just had to fight Cub Swanson......that fight saving bout earned him No title, No Max, has now been finished, has now been KO'd and has no belt Ortega saved the fight that knocked Frankie out! Stephens has as many losses in the UFC as Ortega's current win streak. Of course the bottom feeders are calling out the top of the food chain, they have nothing to lose.

Dana should have manned up - stripped max for pulling out AGAIN - and paid up for Ortega and Stevens and made it a title fight. He just did the same thing with Khabib and Ioquinta - Dana is the problem not Ortega - Ortega was being smart (especially after what he just did to Frankie and sees where Frankie sits in title contention now)

You want him to go to the hospital and kick Max's **** just to get a paycheck....that's low

The other fights he helped saved don't count for anything? UFC should be putting a plan "B" and perhaps a plan "C" fighter into the contracts - that way there are no big surprises in the match ups. Ortega just eliminated Frankie's title shot and now the UFC expects him to risk it on a couple of days notice??? He would be an idiot to take the fight in a game where everyone has a punchers chance.
