Is Kelvin Vs. Izzy Closer Than People Think?

He should be a heavyweight if he's in the heavyweight weight class.

    Khabib - UK tour

Just got the email in regards to this and the ticket prices, as I thought, absolute rip off and ridiculous prices. You can only meet him with the highest price tickets and even for signed memorabilia you have to win them in an auction. Here's the info. These promoters man, they see someone is popular at the time and completely try to milk it, most fans who want to go probably can't afford that and want to meet him, I reckon these prices and what you get is an absolute piss take. You should get signed items with the price not have to win them in an auction, unless I'm mistaken but it looks like you're pretty much paying for how close you are and to ask him a question. Even the wrestling one's are nothing close to this and I've spent time with a lot of the wrestlers and people who do the wrestling events and it's much better than this.

Is Israel Adesanya being pushed too fast?

First off, before you respond please kindly read before hand as I wanted to get your take on things here. I was just reading the Gastelum and Izzy thread and it got me thinking about Adesanya's rise in the UFC and if Kelvin could stop the whole hype around him at the moment. I was wondering what you guys thought in regards to the push he's had in the UFC? When you think about Till, that was too fast and too over hyped, it got got stalled pretty quickly and then a second loss to Masvidal really derailed that hype train, however do you feel Adesanya has the same kind of push behind him when it comes to being over hyped too fast? For me personally, Israel's rise seems a little more organic and natural than it does forced, although it's been pretty quick he's also been really active with his fights which probably plays a part in regards to how quickly this has come around recently. Many times a fighter is going up in the ranks people will say it's a hype train, push by the UFC etc.. but it does feel Izzy's rise is a little more organic than say Till who was clearly pushed too fast and quickly derailed. So what are your thoughts, has Izzy's rise been quite natural for you considering he's been very active with his fight ethic or do you feel he also was pushed too much too fast along the same kind of vibe Till was? I was wondering what you guys thought to this?

Are there any fighters you didn't like but became a fan of over time?

I've always found Max quite likeable but he's definitely grown on me over time too. Max is the kind guy everyone likes, you can't not really, it's like Cowboy, Lawler etc... you've just gotta like them really haha

Do You Think We See TJ Return To The UFC?

That's the thing though, in two years time a lot of fighters would have probably come and gone by that point so it could be quite different when he comes back. It will be interesting to see either way but I have no idea what the division will look like come that point and what the competition for him will be. Plus, how good will he be after the time out too is another question.

Yeah but trust me, it's not good cause of what I mentioned above. When I broke my hand after I had to have physio on it for a while too as my finger was jolted out too due to the knuckle, I broke all the tendons in my hand too and completely snapped/shattered the main bones, a few of the surgeons were telling me how hands can be difficult to fix at times and that they're quite delicate so the more you break them the more they become harder to repair, I still have to keep pushing my finger in so it clicks (like when you make a fist and the fingers go inside the hand) and when it gets cold it gets tight too, this was from 2015 when I broke it. I guess it all depends on the break but my point is I'd rather a fighter stop their fight and have many more solid fights than continue just for the sake of one fight and then risk permanent damage long term and their career being less. Pettis's hand was probably broken quite bad and bad enough to stop the fight, I'm glad that he did. Specially considering in UFC the hands are the most important, it was a good decision, very good even.
  8. I will if you can get Jake The Snake Roberts when he piledrived Beau from the Beverly Brothers off the top rope through the canvas and onto a cactus, will trade you?

He had a broken hand in that Tony fight though, kinda hard to keep punching a guy with a broken hand and get the win, all he's gonna do is ruin his hand even more which means he might not be able to fight again if his hand is too mashed up. The hand bones are very delicate and complicated and you have to be careful with them. I broke my hand really badly where all the inside was smashed and was told I would have to have reconstructive surgery or pins to put it back together, luckily I didn't have to and they managed to fix it as I healed well but I know that you do have to be really careful with them. He put up a phenomenal fight during that fight I reckon too so I can't blame him for that fight being stopped, it had to.

Do You Think We See TJ Return To The UFC?

I think so, as long as he keeps enthusiastic over time to do so then yeah! I mean he's going to have two years out so he will need to do something and might put his interests elsewhere though if he sticks with his training and is determined to come back then I can absolutely see it happening. He also might want to come back and win more because he'll want to show people he can legitimately win a title, anything he's won before whether he cheated or not has been ruined cause people will always have their doubts if he legitimately won at whatever moment in time which will be frustrating for him, specially if he knows certain wins weren't with all this. It all depends how it goes I guess, hard to say whether he'll win a title or do well because there will be a whole new lot of talent around by that point too.
  11. It would have been a great fight, Askren knows what he's talking about! It's like mentioned before Khabib needs to fight someone with a strong wrestling background, someone who can defend his take downs as we all know how strong Khabib is and once he gets you down he is going to maul you, however he's been fighting people who is more likely than not going to get the take down so he has a higher chance of winning these people from the word go. I hope he gets Askren or Gaethje soon cause it needs to happen, I also want Raging Al to get a shot too with a full camp and training as I feel he deserves this also!

Is Israel Adesanya being pushed too fast?

I can understand that, I think for me the difference with Till is that it felt way too forced where as Izzy's seems a little more natural and a slow burner, it's just cause he's been so active (how many fights has he had the past year or so?) that it's kinda done this fairly quickly but I don't disagree with you either, just Till's felt a little more forced to me that's all but soon as he got in with Woodley that was it. If Izzy happens to win this title he's definitely going to have to take on some good defence fights, if he does this then there's no reason why people shouldn't give him the credit. I do feel Izzy has got it in him but he does have to prove himself a little more.

I doubt Pettis wants the easy pay day, he probably wants the good fight and deserves the good fight, he came into the WW with a bang so it's only right he goes forward. Let a lower ranked guy do it, I'm sure some of them are capable cause if one of those guys take him out then he can't really be shouting his mouth off at the top guys anymore.
  14. Already, I like Karolina, she's a lovely girl so hopefully she gets the win this time.

Yeah, it does seem very mixed.

Is Israel Adesanya being pushed too fast?

Yeah I know what you mean, I guess like I say he'll have to do a few good defences with it too if he wins, I mean if you win the title, fair enough, if it's an easy road fair enough too but then defend it and if you do then you can gain that credit as the champion too. It will be interesting to see how it goes actually Speaking for people again.

Is Israel Adesanya being pushed too fast?

I wonder how it'll go down if he wins it? Like fans respect fighters who have clawed their way to the top and earned it, say if Max or Dustin wins those guys are gonna be respected for it cause they've earned their stripes yet if someone gets it fairly easy, not so much and will have to do a lot of defending to gain that also. What do you reckon to Gastelum getting it?
