    Sugar Sean O'Malley

Check out this article from the Independent Record newspaper in Helena, Montana about "Sugar" Sean O'Malley returning to his hometown. O'Malley is an up and coming fighter who is 10-0 and will face Marlon Vera at UFC 239 on July 6. http://406mtsports.com/406mtsports/ufc-s-sean-o-malley-returns-to-helena-never-forgetting/article_042d4701-35b3-527b-a72f-e29d2d80400b.html

Matchups I'd Love to see By Division

Three Matchups I'd Love to see From Each Division *obviously anyone not currently fighting under the UFC banner I'd sign or re-sign* Women's Strawweight Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson (my favorite strawweight) vs. Joanne Calderwood or Rose Namajunas The Champ Jedrzejczyk vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz (2nd favorite strawweight)- they are scheduled to fight on Nov. 12th- (I think Karolina wins the belt) Claudia Gadella vs. Alexa Grasso or Carla Esparza Women's Bantamweight Rousey vs. Holm rematch- Redemption? Champ Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko (my favorite bantamweight)- Valentina would be the new champ Any Bantamweight brave enough to fight Cyborg at catchweight Men's Heavyweight Champ Stipe Miocic vs. Cain Velasquez- can Velasquez regain the title? Alistar Overeem vs. Stefan Struve- slugfest! Brock Lesnar vs. Big Country Roy Nelson- just would like to see that Men's Light Heavyweight Everyone wants to see Jons vs. Cormier rematch- however, Jones will be suspended Rampage vs. Rashad Evans rematch- Rampage come back, Evans moves back up Anthony "Rumble" Johnson vs. Ovince Saint Preux Men's Middlewight Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman rematch (finally happen?) Dana White forces Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva to fight Dan "Hendo" Henderson vs. Yoel Romero, or Maia vs. Shields- if Shields would resign Men's Welterweight Carlos Condit vs. Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone- want to see them fight more than any other matchup in UFC Robbie Lawler vs. Johnny Hendricks- Again Jon Fitch vs. Ben Askren- Resign Fitch and finally sign Askren to make this happen (used to love Fitch- would like to see him make a comeback) Men's Lightweight Justin Gaethje vs. Edison Barboza- finally get Gaethje from WSOF #2 Ranked Nurmagomedov finally get a title shot vs. Alvarez or whoever Tony Ferguson vs. either Alvarez or Nate Diaz (Ferguson is a bad dude) Men's Featherweight Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis- Pettis is my favorite Featherweight, glad he moved down Frankie Edgar vs. B.J. Penn- one more time Any combo of Cub Swanson, Jeremy Stephens and Godofredo Pepey Men's Bantamweight Champ Cruz vs. Garbrandt Dillashaw vs. Thomas Almeida Faber vs. anybody- win or lose he is fun to watch Men's Flyweight Can't wait for Benaridez vs. Cejudo on Dec. 3rd Mighty Mouse vs. TUF winner also on Dec. 3rd Sergio Pettis vs. Zach "Fun Size" Makovsky (what an awesome nickname)- I can see Pettis with a title shot in the future. He and big brother Anthony are the real deal
  3. Forgive me for being Captain Obvious here, but Renan Barao does not deserve a rematch for the title. After the beating he took at the hands of TJ Dillashaw, he needs at least another solid win before he gets another crack at the belt. Besides, I thought we were done with all these goofy instant rematches anyway. Frankie Edgar ruined the immediate rematch forever. I can understand the cases of Anderson Silva and BJ Penn. Both are legends of the sport and helped establish their respective divisions (especially BJ). Penn lost his title in a controversial decision and Anderson lost his in what many considered to be a fluke KO. Barao, on the other hand, did neither. Despite "not having lost a fight in 50 years" or whatever, he's not a figure like Anderson or BJ. Most of the wins in his undefeated streak are over cans anyway. C'mon, the guy was nearly finished in the first round, proceeded to clearly lose every minute of the fight thereafter, and was finished in the 5th. He was dominated. Maybe you could make the case for an instant rematch if it was a controversial split decision, but no way does he deserve a rematch after Dillashaw whooped him like that. Dillashaw v. Raphael Assunção makes A LOT more sense for the main event of UFC 177, for obvious reasons.
