Click for example. Tie breaker in standings between 2 posters will be decided by who won the match in the round robin 3 way ties will see the poster with the worst percentage on his picks placed third in pool, if tied, lowest number of points earned, if miraculously still tied, any poster who lost via tiebreaker will take top spot RULES When pools/match ups are set. The poster who has first pick will make a thread in the MMA section of the forums, where picks will be made. While other tournaments are running at the same time, our threads need to have XX in the title so I can properly manage the game. Participants in a match up take turns choosing a fight, and picking the fighter they think will win. Their opponent gets the other fighter in that fight by default. When one of your fighters win, you get a point. The user with the most points at the end of the card wins. Posts where you make a pick CAN NOT be edited. Any shenanigans and you will be disqualified. Uncompleted matches are considered to be a win for the last person to make a pick provided they have attempted to complete the match by submitting their picks in confidence order to the commissioner. They will then be matched up against the Vegas Odds for determining that players stats only. If neither poster has made the effort, both will lose. If both have submitted via PM, the match goes ahead with the commissioner organizing the picks based on confidence order. If a fighter pulls out from a card and that bout is already selected. The poster who selected that fight has the option to change their selection (if a replacement fighter has been issued). If they fail to do so they will keep their selection (if the opposing fighter pulled out) or acquire the replacement fighter (if they selected the fighter who pulled out). The poster who has second pick, chooses one fight to be the tie breaker. If a match between posters results in a tie and no tie breaker has been chosen, the poster who was responsible for picking a tie breaker loses. It is strongly recommended that the poster with second pick selects a tie breaker fight even on cards with an odd number of fights (in case of draws) HOW FIRST PICK IS ALLOTTED IN ROUND ROBIN for round 1, first pick will go to the poster selected first in the random draft for round 2 and round 3, first pick will be awarded in this priority: The poster who has had the fewest first picks in the tournament so far The poster who has the highest amount of points The poster who has the better "correct pick percentage" The poster who has the most losses via tiebreaker The poster who has won the most forum games previously as indicated in the forum game thread, if still tied Post count HOW FIRST PICK IS ALLOTTED IN ELIMINATION/BRACKET ROUND The poster with the higher seed position SIGNED UP 1. xFINISHxHIMx 2. 8. UFC Predictions Tournament XV vs. Bracket and Spreadsheet: Will be posted when available Back by popular demand, it's your favorite forum game, but with a twist. This time it's Team USA vs. Team World. When you sign up, you'll need to post which team you'll be representing. Rules: The first four rounds will be Ryder Cup format. The captain of Team USA will choose the match-ups for the first round. Team World's captain will choose the match-ups for the second round. Round 3 - Team World, Round 4 - Team USA. Each outright win will be worth one point for their team. Draws are worth half of a point. Losses are worth nothing. Your individual performances will count. Once assigned an opponent, the user with first pick creates a thread in the MMA section of the forums, where picks will be made. Participants in each match take turns choosing a fight, and picking the fighter they think will win. When you pick a fighter, the other player is given their opponent. For example, if you pick Daniel Cormier, your opponent gets Jon Jones. You will go back and forth picking fights until all fights on the upcoming card have been picked, and all fighters on the card have been assigned. When one of your fighters wins, you get a point. Posts where you make a pick can not be edited. If I see any WTG shenanigans, I will ban you from future tournaments under my watch. The elimination tournament will be seeded based on performances in the Round Robin. Your team then becomes irrelevant. The player with the most points in their Round Robin matches will be the No. 1 seed. Tiebreaker will be correct picks. If the top eight performers are all from Team World, then there will be no representatives of Team USA in the elimination tournament. Rounds: Round One (Round Robin): UFN Boston: McGregor vs. Siver Round Two (Round Robin) : UFC on FOX: Gustafsson vs. Johnson Round Three (Round Robin): UFC 183: Diaz vs. Silva Round Four (Round Robin): UFC Fight Night Broomfield: Thatch vs. Bendo Elimination Tournament (Wild Card Round): UFN Porto Alegre: Bigfoot vs. Mir Elimination Tournament (Field of 8): UFC 184: Rousey vs. Zingano Elimination Tournament (Semi-Finals): UFC 185: Showtime vs. Dos Anjos Elimination Tournament (Final): UFN Rio de Janeiro: LaFlare vs. Maia Overall records: 12er - 5-2 Amunera - 4-1 Arsenal - 2-2 AxeMurduh - 2-2 BABA_JI - 1-1-2 Bartolini - 3-1-1 bigdw35 - 5-2 Bubba_Sparks - 4-1 Carnages41 - 2-2 Cashfl0w - 7-1 Crangs - 0-3-1 FINISHxHIM - 2-1-1 HiLite - 1-2, 1 NC HiTeMnSubMiTeM - 1-2-1 Identity - 1-3 JBJF - 2-2 JChristian522 - 2-2-1 Juice64011 - 5-2-1 KOOKORK - 3-2 Lapo - 4-1 LayDownDead - 4-2 MauroPedrosa - 1-2-1 Mcmax3000 - 3-1-1 - 30-15 NoCakeForYaya - 0-1-2, 1 NC NyteRyder - 1-2, 1 NC Ozpride - 0-3-1 PATSTER - 0-4 Pigs_on_the_Wings - 3-2-1 Polo - 2-2 Spartacus_ - 2-2 TeemuSelanne - 0-3-1 The_enigma - 1-3 TigerChamp - 0-4 WanderleiSilva101 - 1-2-1 WTG - 2-2 Winners: cashflow /
  9. UFC Prediction Tournament XIV Bracket and Spreadsheet: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=6C48191C57FEF752!137&authkey=!AExckFd4av_TSpk&ithint=file%2Cxlsx Back by popular demand, it's your favorite forum game. McMod's rules have been brought back. No commissioner decisions to dictate first pick. No commissioner decisions to dictate anything. First pick in this tournament is determined by previous performances (aside from Bubba_Sparks being given first pick in every round for winning the previous legitimate tournament). There is an actual randomized bracket, not just whomever I decide to pair up. To avoid as many instances as possible of people having to pick random no-names, I combined the TUF 20 Finale with UFC on FOX: Miocic vs. JDS. The TUF Finale is another Friday card, and the card on FOX is the following day. Rules: Everybody that signs up gets paired up with another user for their first round match up. One user makes a thread in the MMA section of the forums, where picks will be made. -- While the tournaments are running at the same time, our threads need to be titled "XIV" at the beginning of the title so I can properly manage the game. Participants in a match up take turns choosing a fight, and picking the fighter they think will win. Their opponent gets the other fighter in that fight by default (For Example, if one person were to pick Hendricks (lol) for UFC 181, their opponent would get a point when Lawler wins) You & your opponent go back, and forth picking fights until all fights on the upcoming card have been picked, and therefore, all fighters on the card have been assigned. When one of your fighters wins, you get a point. The user with the most points advances to the next round of the tournament. In the event of a tie, the winner of the tie breaker fight moves on. They can choose from any of the fights in the round once all fights have been picked. The tie breaker fight is chosen by the person that does not pick first, with the exception of the the double event rounds, where a prelim fight will be chosen as an additional pick to break a tie. First pick in each match up in the first round is determined by results of the previous tournament. In all other rounds, first pick is determined by total points scored in the tournament, with most correct picks, followed by seeding being the tie breakers. First round tournament matches are determined randomly. The winner of the last tournament (Bubba_Sparks) gets first pick in all of their matches, regardless of any other factors. New rule: In the final, the person with the most correct picks will receive first pick, even if they face the reigning champion. Posts where you make a pick can not be edited. If I see any WTG shenanigans, I will ban you from future tournaments under my watch. Rounds: Opening Round: UFC Fight Night Austin: Swanson vs. Edgar Round Two: UFC 181: Hendricks vs. Lawler Quarter Finals: TUF 20 Finale & UFC on FOX: Miocic vs. Dos Santos (Main cards only) Semi Finals: UFC Fight Night Barueri: Machida vs. Dollaway Finals: UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier
