lol so they actually listened to people for once and scrubbed out all the pay2win microtransactions from the loot boxes after enough people shamed them and cancelled their preorders?
this cant seriously be from EA? "Rest assured, we’re continuing to listen to you" did they really just say that??? Even though this just sounds like the same typical PR Bullchit that EA always spills to everybody before they put the game off shelves, wave a middle finger at everyone, and disappear from the planet until its time for them to herp out the next edition!
This is EA we're talking about, the multiple time champion of Worst Company In America. A corporate cash cow who waves the middle finger to everybody and ignores every complaint about how they rushed out an unfinished game that is just a copy and paste of last years games with all the same bugs included, more features missing, broken down servers, and of of course have it loaded up with even pricier vip and season passes and DLC, and nerfed payouts to inspire you to go spend your money instead of credits on virtual sports card packages and loot crates and gun skins and all of this other crap that has no business being in a full priced AAA game.
this isnt them just being nice guys and listening to the consumer and having their best interests in mind. EA has proven on a consistant basis that they dont give a chit about their fanbase after theyve acquired their sale, and they will continue to try to nickel and dime them any which ever way they think they can swindle an easy buck, no matter how anti-consumer it may be.
this wasnt EA listening or "giving back". This was their bottom dollar being affected after enough people got upset over their pay2win gambling simulator cancelled their preorders. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Theyve already lost enough potential customers for this game with what they did with the whole ea battlefront 1 fiasco. For any disappointed players returning for the next one, The pay2win loot boxes were guaranteed to turn them away and drive this franchise into the ground. The community would see it for it was and most would move on from the game within a month or two, just like they did with the first one.
they pulled the plug on pay2win items because it hurts their bottom dollar and threatened enough sales and investors. not because its unfair and unethical and totally anti-consumer. thats absolute wolf tickets bro. they dont give a **** how they get your money. theyll get it any way they can
loot boxes dont benefit anybody other than EA. nobody asked for them. theyre just in there because these days EA figures you shouldnt even be able to change the color of your gun, shirt or helmet or do a little dance or emotion without throwing more money at your screen.
If you buy a game with an EA logo on the cover, this is what you have come to expect. theyre games are delivering less in content, quality and value as every year drags on, but more expensive to play. At this point theyre just trying to ride the gravy train and capitilize off past success, either of their old games that were good and brought in lots of money, or simply just relying on the name of a past franchise and somebody elses work to draw in the fans.
not worth patting them on the back with my wallet. you give them an inch, and theyll take the whole ruler. sure they may have removed the pay2win aspects out of their newly installed gambling simulator, but i guarantee they'll find another strategic way to milk you.
