If you could put together an old-style UFC tournment (no weight classes, no rounds, 8 fighters, 7 fights in one night, last man standing wins) who would you include among current signed UFC fighters?

Good idea. It would have to be in another country since no athletic commission in the U.S. would ever sanction it. Saitama Super Arena in Japan would be an awesome place to do it. It would be like a UFC version of the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix Tournament. Since it's happening in Japan, the Crazy Screaming Lady would have to introduce each fighter and I had to include a couple of Pride vets. I also tried to include fighters that would be willing to fight anyone at any time in any weight class. It's a little heavy on the welterweights, but that is the most exciting weight class right now IMO. There are fighters in every weight class from lightweight to heavyweight (you know, the only weight classes that matter lol). I tried to make it so that every possible combination of fights would be as exciting as possible.

Bracket 1:

JOHNY HENDRICKS VS. VITOR BELFORT

MATT BROWN VS. DONALD CERRONE

winners fight each other

Bracket 2:

ROBBIE LAWLER VS. DAN HENDERSON

MARK HUNT VS. ANTHONY JOHNSON

winners fight each other

The winners of each bracket then square off for the UFC Open Weight Grand Prix Championship!

This is mine.  Putting heavyweights in a tournament with welterweights may seem unfair, but having the heavier guys battle each other first, injuries could always level the playing field.

Braket 1

Cain Velasquez vs. Jon Jones

Roy Nelson vs. Alistair Overeem

Braket 2

Tyron Woodley vs. Anthony Johnson

Chris Weidman vs.  Robbie Lawler

Call me unimaginative, but all 8 champs would do me. Mighty mouse v cain to start,tj v jj next, then aldo v weidman, pettis v Johnny to finish.

Overall winner takes on ronda in a battle of the sexes match.

Actually, I like your suggestion the most.  That would truly be interesting.

Unfortunatelly open weight fights are pointless now everyone knows a little bit of BJJ.

Only Nick Diaz could beat HWers.

The heavier fighter doesn't always win. Just look at cain or Hendo. Who wouldn't want to see mighty mouse v cain?? It would be awesome.

Dana White vs Bjorn Rebney would have been a better match up.
