Because he wasn't retired when he took the drug tests, so they were not legal substances under his Nevada fighter's license.

Because most people won't take him as a credible analyst of the sport when he had to retire due to two major drug test failures.

Bonnar also disappeared after he got caught on his retirement fight.

I don't think the substances affect his credibility as a host.  I think most of us know who and what Chael is.  He adds a lot of personality to the mix and is certainly entertaining, though you can't trust anything he says.

That said, there's a lot of other more credible fighters who could benefit from the opportunity of hosting the show.

If everybody wants to pretend to be outraged by PED's that's fine by me, but I really did like Chael on FOX. He's a natural TV personality. It's the UFC's loss.

Sonnen wasn't fired until his third failed drug test. Three strikes and your out.

He was still the best analyst that they had.

The forum just can't handle level-headed fact-based analysis using the queen's English.  I should have just said that Vanatta double-diggled that foglet Ferguson in blueberry flavoured buttermilk and I'm sure Banham would have agreed.

Fox is a private corporation who can make staffing changes however they see fit.

The UFC dumped him.  Why, as business parters, would they keep someone as analysist that no longer represents the UFC?

Let's just skip forward a couple months and laugh at how Tim Elliot, a guy that they cut, is about to get the next title shot, without even beating anyone that's currently in the company.

LOL.. The UFC is a mess.

Fox were already idiots for endorsing a known cheat liar,to further support him after continued cheating would be beyond retarded.

He should get back into government ,especially USA government, they love lying and feeding people propaganda,Chael would fit right in.

Worth noting, that according to his interview on Chris Jericho's latest podcast, if Chael is to be believed (which he often isn't, something he also admits in that interview... Good listen so far), it was his choice to step down from FOX.

He's going to the WWE.
