no dude dont get that laptop. major ripoff. aside from being a prebuilt and able to carry it around with you to the next power outlet, and having a touch screen and a fingerprint sensor, all your money is going towards the thunderbolt port, a touchscreen and a bigger ssd
thats a chit gpu. chit cooling. weak monitor. not even a 2nd hard drive for more storage. $1700 are you f*cking crazy? i wouldnt pay a grand canadian for that. complete overpriced chit
its got a good cpu for a laptop i guess and a supersized ssd. thats about it. youd be an idiot to buy that.for $1700. if youre spending that much expect at least a mobile i7 7700, a gtx1070, 16 gb of ram, 256 gb ssd + 1 gb 7200 rpm hd, and at least a 15 inch 1080p screen either with 120hz or with gysnc. maybe even an optical drive too if thats your thing asus and msi make good ones but dont waste your money on that zenbook notebook crap. you wont even need a cpu that good if youre trying to game or do any video editing or converting with that or anything demanding at all bro. youre going to be gimped hard by that 1050 before you could even start to make use of the extra power. that would be good for watching cat videos on youtube and watching movies but so would any other $500 pc.
like seriously thats a massive premium for a touchscreen, 256 gb of extra ssd space at the expense of a secondary hard drive, and most of all the thunderbolt port which youll only ever need when you realise your gpu is chit but you realise its more expensive for a new laptop rather than buying a second power supply, a real video card which will run a fraction of its speed, and a special housing case for the gpu. before you even consider cracking open the back of the laptop and putting in another hard drive after you run out of space, or trying to run an external gpu that will run a modern game in high - ultra settings at 1080p and not have it turn into a slideshow. on top of overpaying for form factor, youre paying well over another $500 more for a huge price markup and alll those gimmicky features youll never really use absolute ripoff dude
