sometimes I wish they'd just play some old school classic trailers in theatres for the hell of it. Maybe before their sequels.. Because this is a piece of art.

for me, it's either Arnold or finding an oldie I missed - or some classics -

The Last Action Hero is still my favourite Arnie movie and its one of those ones that aren't quite as popular as the likes of Terminator, Predator and Commando. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Predator and Terminator 2 are untouchable (1a and 1b) but will fight anybody that has words for Last Action Hero

I remember when Us came out there was so much hype. Acting was decent but the movie was bad.

Watched 3 From Hell. Decent ending if that's where they decide to close out the story.

I thought it was aight. I liked it but it's not even in my top 10 Arnie films.

In no particular order

1. Predator

2. Terminator

3. Pumping Iron

4. Conan

5. Total Recall

Top 5 Honorable mentions: True Lies, Commando, Twins, Running Man, Eraser

I regret missing the transformation of this thread into a Last Action Hero appreciation thread.

Also solid list by @StompGrind; was just about to say not enough Twins until i saw it nestled comfortably in the honourable mentions.

Not enough Kindergarten Cop though.

well, let's put it this way - does anybody really want to deal with a 64 yr old post menopasal Linda Hamilton ?

... it doesn't compare to prime Arnie, in fact, .. he doesn't enter this movie until it's more than half over 🙃

This is also acceptable. Graded on a curve, T1 is much better than Salvation when you consider the release date and significance but Salvation was the most rewatchable for me.

Without spoilers, what kind of role did Edward Furlong have in it?

John Connor of course .. it's a very small role, they show his fate at the beginning of the movie

... not a generic sequel, but Cameron does use the occaisional flashback -

* you know Furlong is a 41 yr old druggie today ?

Yea, I knew his part. Was just curious if it was nothing more than a wolf tickets cameo or if he actually played an important role in the movie. I feel like he's done so many drugs at this point, he could probably overtake a T-800

The main chick in it has a really good performance I have to concede that other than that movie was trash and the ending is still one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen don't give a chit what it was meant to "symbolise"

Sweetheart 6/10
Horror movie set on a desert island. Started really well, very creepy, lots of tension. Unfortunately descended into a typical monster movie. Worth a watch though.

We're currently living in the darkest timeline right now knowing they'll never make another Predator or Terminator movie.

That's also a franchise that exists yes but I meant that Hollywood took 2 of my favorite childhood franchises in the last year and put out such warmed up abortions that flopped to the point that producers will never touch the franchise again. Atleast the all wimmin Ghostbusters died so that we could get an actual Ghostbusters reboot now.

The newest Star Wars, Terminator, and Predator movies all managed to not only ruin these sequels but miraculously somehow managed to ruin previous successful entries into the series in the process. T1 and T2 are fecking pointless now.
