Shannara Chronicles. Holy crap is this show garbage, absolutely terrible. 2/10

Oh really, lol. I just started downloading the 1st two episodes, how disappointing. I'll check it out anyway,

IMDB give it 8.3 so it must have something of quality about it.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1051220/

Edit: I just watched the trailer and it has Crixus from the Spartacus show.

I'm expecting varying levels of GOATness.

I'd like to know your opinion on it. I saw the commercial and thought it looked interesting.

I've been up for 7 hours thinking about the cliffhanger in tonight's episode of Skippy

was it trouble at the old well? Or did Mr Peter's next door fall off a tractor?

Think fantasy version of Twilight with better CGI.

Two minutes after the opening credits I knew it wasn't for me.

The GF loved it though.

Shades of Blue s01 e01

Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta head the cast is this new cop show.

She's Intelligent, gutsy, tough, beautiful and extremely cliched.

If you like being spoon fed **** over and over again you'll probably like this show,

Remarkably unoriginal.

Edit: I'm being unfair. The show is actually pretty good, it's just that Lopez's "strong independant woman" character makes me cringe.

Not minding Jessica Jones after ep1. Dark but enough there to keep me interested for the rest of the series

Any Brits watch You, Me & The Apocalypse? It's a joint UK/US production but they showed it in the UK first.  I loved it, very funny, very original, but wonder if it might be a bit too anglicised for the US market.

It did well over here, but apparently they're holding off on commissioning series II until they see how it goes in the states.  Airs 28th January 2016 - i highly recommend it!

The expanse has passed the first episode test and has been granted at least 2 more episodes.  Solid

Making A Murderer.

Outstanding docudrama on Netflix

I haven't watched it yet but you should check out the evidence that was left out of the show. The opinion I've received from looked at both say that he is guilty but deserves a retrial.

You have a link?

This is my opinion, I said it in another thread

Reasonable doubt or not, he deserves a retrial for the simple fact he was investigated by the same sheriffs he was suing

I can't find the one that I read before, if I do I will post it. Supposedly dateline or another program is going to do a full episode about it including what was left out of the documentary.

I happened to find what I was reading before. Even with this evidence he deserves a new trial but it's strange they left this out.

Ep7 of the expanse down and it's getting stronger. Decided to look for the books it's based on and I'm about two eps worth ahead, and thinking I should stop since I preferred the unknown watching the first eps..

Which made me think about GOT and walking dead. The TV show is WAY better without the book knowledge IMO but overall you can immerse yourself deeper into the environment when reading.

So, when both forms are available for one story, which one do you do first?

just finished ep7 as well. I like the way it's heading. Think i'd like to read books second. The extra detail is more appreciated then. It just causes rustle when bits are missing out of movies that are in books

yeah agreed but the book so far is same quality! Very addictive. And I can't state any clearer that I'm NOT a sci-fi fan! This surprises me most about how much I rate this show!

I like to read the book first. If the show covers the material well then I get bored while reading the book.

shameless-season-6-poster.jpg

Watched all 11 seasons of the English version when they first aired, it was my favourite show for quite a few years.

Never could get into the American version. Maybe i didn't give it a fair go but I felt they bastardized it.

there's still yet to be a US version of a UK - or any European show actually - that I can confidently say is better. A lot would say the office but I think UK reigns supreme.
