Edelman leaves practice with injury.

http://www.msn.com/e...jury/ar-BBvrxQQ

After undergoing surgery on a broken foot twice over the past year, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman returned to practice on Monday.

It was a long-awaited return for the star receiver, one that the Pats themselves desperately needed.

Unfortunately, just as quick as Edelman took to the field, he was seen leaving it in what one reporter called “disgust.”

Julian Edelman has gone off to the side with disgust, threw helmet. Trainer Jim Whalen looking at lower left leg as Edelman sits on cart.

— Tom E. Curran (@tomecurran) August 9, 2016

We have absolutely no idea what the severity of the injury might be, but it sure doesn’t look good. Having the trainer check out your lower leg area after undergoing two surgeries within the past calendar year surely isn’t a good sign.

Doing so after returning from the physically unable to perform list the day prior is a major concern.

Edelman broke a bone in his foot during a mid-November game against the New York Giants. And while he was able to return in time for the playoffs, the receiver required off-season surgery on the same foot.

Turns out he tested positive for something that isn't banned by the NFL and his expected suspension is a false rumor created by the media. I hope this is the case. lol

Jimmy G did pretty good tonight. No big mistakes anyway.

Bennet had a few grabs too.

Defense made some awesome plays.

Good start to the year.

Can't wait to see what the Gronk/Bennet duo looks like once our offense is at full strength.

Literally first play I see this year is Romo getting run down by a Seahawks linebacker and having to come out of the game.

Is it even possible this guy can play and entire season including playoffs?

Love tony romo but his durability is a big question.

True, as much as everyone said he just wanted to win or play that really wasn't the case. He wanted to do that but wasn't willing to change positions.

Tebow and his selfish ways. There were so many opportunities for him yet he took his ball and went home. Chased his dream but if he aint the QB then its dancing with the stars, now throwing a baseball. Future Coney Island Cyclone.

Ok haha thats good.

Watching some of this Ten-Oak game. Tennessee looks good man. Mariotta, Murray, and Matthews could do some damage and now they have Derrick Henry.

Picked Henry up so hopefully Murray blows out his knee in a car fire.

The Birds looked good tonight on both sides of the ball against the Colt's first team D and O. I had no faith in their offense going into this season but I'm a little more optimistic after their performance tonight.

I don't get how teams still ignore the offensive line. Every year good QBs and RBs look like crap because their blockers are bad. Then you have guys like Demarco Murray that look great behind Dallas' line and move on to be below average so far. The flashy stars are tough to pass up but a solid line is what consistently wins games.

To be fair, Chip Kelly did not use DeMarco Murray correctly. He had him doing things he did not excel at, like running sweep routes to the outside. I don't know how he's looked so far in Tennessee.

So has Derrick Henry. Theyre both legit backs (Henry will be) but Tennessee does seem to have a solid O line.

Actually, when I became a Cowboy fan, the Redskins where the nearest team, Carolina and Baltimore didn't exist until like '96. But as I've stated many times, I became a fan when I was 8 and Dallas had the hottest cheerleaders in the league. Being a huge fan of tittays, it seemed the automatic choice.

Also, my first full season as a fan we went 1-15 and had to eat chit year round from all the Redskins fans, I stick to my guns.

I would rather have Hill. They will probably do something dumb like trade picks for Foles or Bradford instead of just calling the season a loss and moving on.

If Bridgewater went down they should trade AP and get what they can. He deserves a shot at a ring and they might as well build for the future.

I highly doubt the Eagles will trade Bradford this season, at this point.

Nick Foles would be a good pick up imo.

I would rather have Hill. They will probably do something dumb like trade picks for Foles or Bradford instead of just calling the season a loss and moving on.

If Bridgewater went down they should trade AP and get what they can. He deserves a shot at a ring and they might as well build for the future.

If Bridgewater is out they need AP more than ever.

All they have to do is win 9 or 10 games
