I think Timo Werner's potential is out of this world and it would be fun to see him and Sane together. A lot of pace there.

For some reason Timo hasn't established himself as Germany's main striker yet

Low can be either a little too conservative or too loyal in going with proven guys

Gonna be like 'hey babe, remember when I had to watch every ****ing episode of Gilmore girls TWICE?! Well here's Tunisia Vs Panama!!! And the new series that came out this year? Enjoy Morroco Vs Iran!'

Hey Mauro. Can you offer any insight into the current situation with Sporting Lisbon. I'm hearing something about fans attacking players in training and players trying to cancel their contracts.

Why the attacks? Is it likely that those trying to get out of contracts can?

Hey Mauro. Can you offer any insight into the current situation with Sporting Lisbon. I'm hearing something about fans attacking players in training and players trying to cancel their contracts.

Well, it all started when they voted for a prima-donna / alleged drug addict / kim jong un wannabe as their president. Bruno Carvalho is his name. Slowly but surely the guy became more and more of a sociopath. First he was kind of funny, claiming that he didn't own a single red object because he hates Benfica so much, then he started blasting his own players openly on facebook, saying that they were crybabies and stuff like that.

The boiling point was after Sporting lost the last game of our League, allowing Benfica to pass them and get the last Champions League spot. The players were literally attacked in their own academy by 50 goons, and there had to be a dirty hand in the Sporting organization to allow them in. Logically, many people blamed the president and he didn't do much to deny it. The following days, he said stuff like "stuff happens" and "we have to learn how to deal with violence in our daily lives" LMFAO.

The attack resulted in Bas Dost playing the Cup Final with a visible gash. The players weren't well psychologically. Rui Patricio says that he feared for his life. They went on to lose 2-1 to a much smaller squad in Desportivo das Aves - who failed to sign their UEFA papers and won't be able to participate in the Europa League lol.

Rui Patricio was the first to sign his resignation, but I don't know how that stuff will hold in court. 5+ other players (some very good ones, in the Euro squad) just signed as well so I don't know how it will end. Bruno Fernandes and Gelson Martins are rumored to be signing with their rivals Benfica and I'm not sure that would be good for their own safety, in this crazy environment.

I'm a Porto fan living in Lisbon and people are crazy (sometimes literally) about football in the entire country.

Reporter:

"Mr Southgate, how far away are you from a World Class team?"

Southgate

"About 3 hotels."

cheers Mauro

Sounds to me that they have legal grounds to cancel contracts if their employer is not offering them security when they are at work or appear in anyway concerned with the events. So not only have they lost out on Champs League money they will lose big bucks on players. Cant see them moving to another club for free, perhaps a tribunal figure or much reduced sale?

I know he was in and out of the lineup because I had him on my EPL fantasy team haha.

That friendly will be fun, I'd like to watch it live

He can play all along the back line and defensive midfield. Has a good long pass and crossing ability, likes going forwards. He wasn't a Rafa player and suspect lacks football intelligence. My guess is that he doesn't listen to instruction well which Rafa insists on. Perhaps a little error prone?

When he played he has always done well but would never hold his place despite this. IF you buy him I bet he does well in your league.

They may play the friendly on nufc TV so possible stream.

So how do you guys think England will lineup for the opener against Tunisia? Specifically the back 3?

They'll probably start with stones, walker and Maguire. Most papers believe that this will be the back 3 for Tunisia. Pickford will be the GK.

Maguire or Cahill and Rose or Young... Loftus-Cheek, Dier, Henderson etc.

A lot of question marks I think

Pickford

Walker - Stones - Maguire

Tripper - Henderson - Ali - Young

Sterling - Kane - Lingard

I think Rose will start ahead of Young. That's a pretty tasty forward line there if he does go with 1 sitting in front of the defence. Sterling to be on the score sheet.

My guess would be a sort of 3331 formation

Dont mind the numbers

I'd be worried about having Henderson holding that midfield by himself

He wont really, Rose and Tripper will be helping him, with Ali dropping back if needed. Dier and Henderson will 100% not play together, they have not done it once that I can remember from the start yet

That 4-0 goal was sicccc

His 1st goal was even better, the dirty to just flick the ball so casually over 2 defenders who at sliding in and bury it, Villareal must be thinking why the **** have we benched this kid all season

If you actually think that he is the manager of either team really then you don't understand the politics behind Spanish football. He will be the face of the Real Madrid manager, but will have literally no say in anything, same as he wouldnt for Spain, thats why it was so easy to sack him.

you dumb bro? There was no reason to leave for real at this point...he could have easily waited it out...I would laugh if spain wins the WC.

I think you are right that he was forced to quit if he wanted to be R.M manager.

What are you talking about? He didn't quit, he was sacked because he announced that he was going to be RM's manager just before the WC.

Yeah, not a good thing so close to the event. Portugal might be in with a shot at the group now

They should have stuck it to Real and hired Zidane
