The military must have decided they were done with using him to spread misinformation about the Nazis, and he can go back to pushing wars that do nothing to benefit us.

He's been active military this whole time.

No chit, man. I live in Illinois. We pay more taxes than almost anybody else. And it's going up too. They just doubled the tobacco and gas taxes to pay for their salary increases.

I kid you not, I was looking at a ten acre lot in Southwestern Colorado that was about 5% per year of the property taxes I pay for a house in the middle of a ****ing block in this chithole city. And there's been five homicides in the last month, and this area has about a quarter million people. What do my taxes go towards?? Certainly not crime prevention, or even investigating crimes correctly because our rate of solving homicides hovers around 50% every year. (Some cities get up above 80% regularly.)

And that's why for the most part I hate the media, I hate social media. I worked at Apple for 5 years so plenty of social media I receive is a bunch of liberals who regurgitate CNN and clickbait. While they all ignore what's going on in Illinois (I am from there and live here as well after a short stint in Dallas). They're all too wrapped up in what's going on with the president, how he is supposedly racist, how he is taking away peoples rights. you CANNOT argue or disagree with them to worry about what is going on at a STATE level and not what Trump is doing. I could be wrong, but what Trump does is going to have little affect on me, what Madigan's puppet JB does, is DIRECTLY affects ME and all you. But no one is paying attention to it because they're causing a bunch of distractions around us. Until they can get it right on a state level, Trump can throw a billion dollar 4th of July parade for all I care. I want the pensions to be cut off, I want to see where my tax money is going. I don't want a bunch of bandaids (legalized weed and gambling) while it is great, it isn't scratching the surface of what the issues are.

Father in-law was an iron worker for 40 years, he got sent to a job to build a school for illegals all while the CPS schools are closing and falling apart. They do NOT care about us, they do not care about the minorities. They care about the illegals and wanting the minority votes so they can continue to not support them.

Sadly, the legalization of weed is half-assed and the gambling isn't going to generate any tourism revenue. It is strictly to give the residents of the state a way to flush their life savings down the toilet and into the money grubbing pockets of politicians.

I live in Northern Illinois. Within about half an hour of the border. There are casinos in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Dells, just outside Madison, etc. Those are all within a couple hours of my house. So Wisconsin residents will really have no reason to come down and gamble. There are casinos in Gary, Indiana. Casinos in Bettendorf, Iowa.. There is literally zero gambling tourism money to be made. The entire logic behind it was a sham.

That's a great observation and I think it will help us to highlight what is so different about red flag laws vs. just reporting a nutjob to police/govt now-a-days (keep in mind most states don't have red flag laws right now).

Here's the TL;DR - Red Flag laws flip what law should be (innocent until proven guilty) on it's head (guilty until proven innocent).  They allow for the complete seizure of their private property (guns, and i'm sure a lot of other things) with indefinite time frames (without due process) and then it's up to the accused to prove their innocence in order to be free and regain their property.

So that's the short of it...I can gladly post a ton more about the slippery slope and the how the law will actually be practiced, but i'm not sure that's what you are looking for.

You cannot be against instituting federal laws that are failing at the state level? How so?

I'm saying you can't be against red flag laws, then blame the government that didnt act on the red flag.

If for instance they took this kids gun, without anything other than his moms hunch, people would call it a gun grab.

Yet when they don't take them the government is blamed for inaction.

If Stv's neighbor, wife, kids, whoever made a complaint thinking he shouldn't have guns and the police came and took them off a complaint, you know he wouldn't be saying it was the government doing what they should to solve their inaction.

I'm not exactly for the red flag laws, but I know you cant blame someone for both sides of how a coin would land so to speak.

I'm for getting the guns away from the nutjobs. I just dont see how you can have a system where a complaint enables someone to remove weapons without there being innocent people losing theirs from abuse of the system.

So you either have a red flag law and innocent people can get caught up in it, I dont believe to the extent people think it would happen, but it will happen.

Or

You look into a complaint of said nutjob,  but since the nutjob has not committed a crime yet, you have no grounds to remove those weapons.

I cant think of a scenario where you can find a middle ground without the government getting blamed for doing nothing or doing to much.

Surely I can be angry if someone threatens to shoot up a school, and there are red flag laws in place, but the government doesn't act on them.

I was, and still am, pissed off at the clowns in Parkland, Florida who couldn't have possibly had any more of a warning from that kid. All he was missing is a "Future School Shooter" t-shirt.

And that's always been your agenda, control vs regulation are 2 different beasts....guns have been in this country since it's inception, and the needless violence taking place isn't because of guns. I know that's hard for some to get their head around, but it's the truth of the matter.

Mass murders weren't happening at this rate 25 years ago, military and semi-auto guns were readily available and owned by the public at that time.

You're missing the big picture.

... if an individual wants to harm a random bunch of people and is seriously dedicated, they could do it w/ a bomb, poison, a vehicle, deadly gas, fire, a sword/ machete, hijacked airplane , or an amped recording of AOC or Pelosi talking -- not that difficult with a little help from the internet plus, .... guns will always be available to those that want them, ... like heroin, cocaine marijuana, explosives, prostitutes, 200% moonshine, switchblades, pedo-directories, and my favorite - Cuban cigars .

.... when you have over 300 million people living in a country, .. you're gonna have a few crazies this is all about politics and politics is all about corruption -

very true statement...its really hard to separate the crazies in the US(huge amounts) vs the crazies that have access to guns and have the will and want to shoot people up.

..... It actually proves they're nuts, 2 pistols w/ silencers ( even home-made) would be the way to go if you wanted to kill a lot of unsuspecting people

in a mall or school, ..lugging an AR or AK makes no sense unless you wish to terrorize - then suicide by police in a dramatic shoot-out, .. but some of the shooters surrender,

i don't wish it but i don't care if tens of thousands die. Maybe that's a little too honest for people to swallow.

IDK how many times i've seen news pander all kinds of bad chit that happens from shooting this earthquake that etc. it never ends as if it's all that happens & i'm supposed to care but i'm like...

It don't fkn concern me so why am i supposed to get all emotional invested about it & have a reaction? Nah son i don't need to live in fear. I'm free from that chit.

Nobody really gives a fk but that's some 2real chit that no one dares say today in society.

Now see if a person had something happen to them or someone they care for at least that's honest & i respect that. There's nothing wrong with admitting that. It's called not being a phony.

The crocodile tears & social brownie points for please believe me i'm a good person points is complete BS. Who you trying to impress? How's that make your life better or make you a better person? Your not so stop pretending lol. All for what? So you can feel like a better person. When has a tragic news story EVER changed someone's life if it didn't happen to them or someone they cared about. That's the reality check no one wants to admit for fear of how people will think about them.

Not caring doesn't make you bad. Actions do. I'm just trying to live my life, try to have fun & be happy & go on about my own business & not fk over anyone or step on their toes too much.
