Watched the first three episodes really enjoyed it so far. Glad to see the terrible reviews it was getting from the critics were just the SJW harping on.

Currently would rank it 3rd.

Is better that Luke Cage so far, Jessica Jones villain being the best in the series so far keeps it above just now and Daredevil is just a step above the rest.

Purple gave Kingpin a run for his money, if KP wasn't in Daredevil season 2, I would have given it to Evil Doctor. Cottonmouth was great but they killded him and replaced him with boring Diamondback and that really hurt the show, IMO opinion.

Yeah I still think Tennant as Killgrave is the best villain they've had so far but I might be slightly biased to a fellow Scotsman lol.

KP was exceptional im sure I read he's having discussions with Sony he wants to appear in the Spider-Man franchise and they think he could work.

Yeah Diamondback killed the second half of Luke Cage for me as well. Not his fault but for me Luke was the hardest to connect with anyway apart from the Judas he's pretty much indestructible.

DD has to be the standout for me though. I think its because I know the most about Matt Murdock's story and the lawyer breaking the law dynamic, together with his deep religious feelings make for a great hero archetype. Plus season 2 had the god damn Punisher.

Reports are saying that Michael Shannon is the front runner to play Cable in Deadpool 2. Shannon is a good actor but a terrible choice for Cable.

Ron Pearlman for Cable. It's the right move, make it happen, Marvel.

I would like Stephen Lang or Ray Stevenson but Pearlman would be a good choice too.

Pearlman is also the Meta choice as he voiced Slade Wilson in the Teen Titans cartoon. Slade Wilson is the character Deadpool (Wade Wilson) is a ripoff of/homage to.

He would never sign up to it but Gibson would be awesome.

Jeffery Dean Morgan could be a good a call to was excellent as the Comedian.

Just hope they don't go with Pierce Brosnan he was rumoured a few weeks ago that sounds a terrible choice.

I have a feeling that he is going to be the Big Bad, possibly Mr. Sinister, and I'm actually fine with that. He was a terrible Bond but I'm interested in seeing him play a villain.

Images have surfaced which are believed to be concept art of the forthcoming Deadpool 2 movie.

They show images of Cable.

The marking of "Love Machine" -- the working title of the film -- as well as the "Visual Treatment" and numbering of the images could prove to be more than simply fan art posing as concept art

Have stuck the spoiler button on because I know we all like to say who we think should do it but don't want to ruin it for anyone who doesn't want to know.

Final Guardian's of the Galaxy trailer

A new article from USA Today gives us more information on the background/motivations of Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes / Vulture in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING.

I very much like the route this is going down. Put in the spoilers again in case you want to go see the movie with as little info as possible.

New Spider-Man Homecoming Trailer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGHGZjDguqw

Sony Developing ‘Venom’ as R-Rated Start to Their Own Marvel Universe

ddf2d111fb8321948b49d3341449c1ee-d39go37

In a rare bit of Hollywood cooperation between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, both studios reached an agreement that will allow them to share–and benefit from–Spider-Man appearing on the big screen. But while Marvel has Tom Holland cast as Peter Parker, who made his introduction in Captain America: Civil War and will be leading Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony still owns the cinematic portrayals of the web-crawler and something on the order of 900 Marvel characters. It goes without saying that they’d like to capitalize on that intellectual property.

Sony's big news is that it has announced Venom standalone film and its recently confirmed release date of October 5, 2018. Not only that but word is that Sony is developing Venom not only as the film to launch their own Marvel Universe, but as an R-rated effort. It looks like Sony is looking to capitalize on the success of Deadpool & Old Man Logan.

Keep in mind that this is the plan we’re hearing about at the moment and that things could still change between now and late 2018—especially once a director signs on and has his or her own vision—but it’s certainly an interesting approach to building Sony’s Marvel Universe.

Let’s be clear: Sony’s Marvel Universe will not be connected to the MCU in any way so no chance of seeing A Hulk vs. Venom showdown.

What I really want to hear more about is Venom‘s tone and story. I won't waste time with a full Venom backstory but everyone remembers the god awful Spiderman 3 right? Although the movie was terrible it did a pretty good job in representing why Spiderman ditches the suit I mean he becomes more aggressive, less concerned with human life, more promiscuous hell lets just say it he becomes a bit of a ****.

A massive part of the reason the symbiote & Eddie Brock work so well together is because they share one core value they both HATE Spiderman. Eddie hates Spiderman because he blames him for losing his job and the symbiote hates Spiderman because he rejected it. It's this connection that makes Venom such an awesome villain, an alien parasite and a disgraced journalist become one because of their mutual hatred. ("There is no Eddie Brock! Only Venom!")

So I have to admit I am worried about a movie about one of Spiderman's greatest villains not only because its such a well known and well loved character. It's because its a character that really needs to have the groundwork laid in a previous movie.

Iron Fist Spoiler Review

Ok so I finally fished Iron Fist. Took a bit longer than I wanted but man's got to pay bills.

First of all Finn Jones was a great casting choice, im so glad marvel didn't listen to all the white-washing critics. He moves between acting like a child to the immortal weapon fluidly showing he's not the best Iron Fist he can be yet and in a lot of ways he's still a kid.

(Was gutted when I heard the budget wasn't big enough to do Shou-Lao but I get it. A fight scene with a dragon would cost big bucks and this leaves that open for season 2.)

Colleen Wing was great so much more than the usual helpless female love interest. She not only could hold her own in a fight but she expanded the story of The Hand, showing that it can corrupt anyone. (I know I shouldn't pick at it but the fact that nobody ever brought up her around New York freely with a samurai sword was a bit weird lol.)

Ward was the best of the Meachum's for me even though he rarely went full villain he was the most compelling. He went from totally loathing Danny to wanting to help him and it all felt organic never forced and he managed to squeeze a good addict performance in there as well.

Harold was good as this sort of Frankenstein losing another piece of himself every time he dies, but he never seemed like a match for Danny. Mentally maybe but you never picture Harold beating him.

Joy was probably the least exciting of the main cast for me she's promising in the first couple episodes but after that just seems to fade away. Her character development just seemed to stop after that and they tried cramming the rest of it in to the last episode.

Madame Gao is excellent. She was great in Daredevil but she really shines here. She's probably only has about 10-15 minutes of screen time throughout the whole series but she makes the most of each scene. (I can safely say I have never been that creeped out by a little old woman lol.)

The way they left the Davos arc incomplete I felt was kind of a bad decision. I mean Davos becomes Danny's greatest enemy (Steel Serpent) and I would have liked to see a bit more character development between their fight in the park and that end scene with Joy. It just seems he goes from resenting his former brother to wanting to kill him a little to quickly.

Loved the finale set up for season 2 or possibly Defenders. What has happened to K'un-L'un?

All and all another great Marvel series its still not quiet as good as Daredevil but comes very close. It surpasses both Luke Cage & Jessica Jones for me. 9/10

A 'Batgirl' movie is in the works from 'Avengers' director Joss Whedon

Batgirl.jpg

Batgirl is flying solo. The super-heroine is getting her own standalone movie from filmmaker Joss Whedon.

Whedon is nearing a deal to write, direct, and produce an untitled Batgirl pic for Warner Bros. as part of its DC Extended Universe.

No other producers are currently attached. Toby Emmerich, president and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, is overseeing with Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. The new project originated in the past month.

Batgirl is one of the most popular superheroes in the world, but has never gotten her own movie. The project will also feature other characters from the world of Gotham.

Whedon would be making a big move from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to its DC counterpart, having written and directed “The Avengers” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” for Disney-Marvel. He also created the television series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Firefly,” “Dollhouse,” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Spider-Man May Leave Marvel Cinematic Universe After Homecoming Sequel

t8xro0fw9gjrdnzbym59.png

Spider-Man: Homecoming producer Amy Pascal has explained that Peter Parker may not be hanging around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for all that long.

It was something of a landmark deal when Sony and Marvel partnered to allow Spider-Man (the rights for which lie with Sony) to appear in MCU films. That deal seems to have an end date, however. Speaking at the CinemaCon theater-owners event this week in Las Vegas, the former Sony chief explained:

“One of the things that I think is so amazing about this experience is that you don’t have studios deciding to work together to make a film very often. In fact it may never happen again, after we do the sequel [to Spider-Man: Homecoming]."

Sony's clearly got at least some plans for an MCU-free future, working on two unconnected films in the Spider-verse; a Venom standalone film and a Black Cat-Silver Sable team-up.

Whether that deal continues is likely down to the success of Spider-Man's future appearances - although the real question is whether Sony will want to extend or end the partnership if Peter Parker becomes a huge box office draw in and of himself

So bad news Spidey fans, looks like this is a shot term deal.

Taking Spiderman out of the MCU is a mistake, I hope they don't follow through with that.

The best Spiderman appears in Civil War, probably does good under the MCU, gets completely fooked by an unsupervised Sony again.  I'm betting Megasoup's house on it

Fox’s New Mutants Film Begins Pre-Production

Following months of teases, pre-production has officially begun on Fox’s X-Men series spinoff “New Mutants.”

Director Josh Boone signaled the development in a pair of photos, one of his New Mutants-themed birthday cake taken at the film’s production offices, and another of himself on the lot of 20th Century Fox.

You talking about when they use it to take our Ronan?

You know when they drop the orb off to initially sell it to the collector and he tell them about it there is a part where he says "Once, for a moment, a group was able to share the energy amongst themselves, but even they were quickly destroyed by it."

I think that's meant to be what happened since they didn't want to keep using the stone after they killed Ronan the stone didn't have time to consume them.

I don't get it. The only comic to movie adaption I've enjoyed in easily the past ten years was Deadpool. And I've seen them all. How can they have such a massive fan base?!? To me any "film" that has more than 60% of the footage filmed in front of a green screen can eat a bag of fobars. Deadpool only got a pass for its outrageous humour
