The heavy bag

Recommended Posts

I hope Floyd brings his pillow. RIP

Conor stays on one side of the bag for the whole workout, he doesn't know anything about movement. If you want to save your money on Mayweather vs McGregor, just look up Larry Holmes vs Butterbean.

I don't take much from this hell if I was Conor I would probably do very little work on a heavy bag.

Throwing power punches to a slow barley moving target is going to be of very little use against Mayweather.

By the way whoever the second guy is I would annihilate him on a bag.

I should've used the sarcasm font, sorry.

I've said numerous times that Floyd is going to beat him in a one-sided decision. I stand by that.

As he should. He's boxing's greatest boxer. Conor trains 15 different disciplines to Floyd's 1, if Floyd, the boxing specialist losses to an mma jack of all trades he deserves to be taken out back and put down.

Exactly! Why would this fight even happen?

Also, what 15 disciplines does Conor train in?

Boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, kickboxing, karate?

I'm still hoping Conor decides to head kick him about ten minutes in, once he realizes he won't be able to hit the homerun on him.

I was just away to say I wouldn't be surprised if Conor has at least tried 15 different disciplines lol.

Although Akido is dog **** and shouldn't even be recognized as a martial art lol.

Boxing would completely implode lol.

Honestly that's Conor's best play.  Headkick KO and get on the mic "BOXING IS DEAD!!!!".

I feel the heavy bag is the most effective training tool a boxer can have, outside of sparring.  More effective than any drill, any coaching, any exercise, any mitt work, anything.  But...

...how someone looks on a heavy bag is a very poor indicator of how well they will perform in the ring.

Ive been saying to everyone Conor is gonna get rattled and throw a kick out of desperation and there will be anarchy. Guaranteed. Can you bet on Floyd winning via DQ? Find me the line and I'll throw the boat on it

Not a chance in hell unless it's rigged for Conor to survive the duration of the match.

Conor quits on his stool inside 6 rounds.

True, but Floyd was basically punching the whole time. Conor threw 4 punches, backed straight up, threw 4 punches again, and backed straight up. I guess you could say he was doing it for the camera, but that's beginners' technique.

He also threw kicks and had on mma gloves.

I guess it's safe to say he wasn't boxing there, seeing as he's a ****ing mma fighter

When MMA fighters are punching, 99% of the technique is boxing. You wouldn't say a wrestler who went for a double leg takedown wasn't wrestling because it was MMA.

You don't need to be practicing how to box to use the heavy bag, he's clearly training mma on the heavy bag, not boxing.

Let's see him actually strap on 16oz gloves and use the heavy bag for an all boxing training session before saying he is no good on the heavy bag.
