Anyone seen it yet?

I thought it was done well. They defiantly went out if their way to try and make it darker like it should be.

Georgie losing his arm was awesome.

I still prefer Curry as the actor as he sold the insanity of the clown. But all in all I thought the new was is good.

Went and licked up the book to re read it. Holy **** I forgot how big it is.

that's what's part 2 is for.

As someone who's read book several times it's over 1100 pages long. So much detail that it be almost impossible to fit that in 2 hr movie.

This chapter was just about the kids their bond and what they have to go through I pretty sure chapter 2 when they're adults will delve into the monsters history more, the history of the town etc.

The Dark Tower was what hr 45 complete garbage.

The only other movie they did that was remotely close was the Stand that was a 4 part 8 hr mini series but it was made in 80s I believe so it suffered from 80s suck

it isn't a remake of a movie it's a remake of a two part tv mini series that was so badly cast and acted that it borders on parody.

Every one loves Tim Curreys Pennywise cause they were kids and kids are stupid. While I will agree Tim was the only good thing of that t.v series.

Pennywise was so terrifying in the book we are talking about child murder. Kids bring eaten, beheaded, mutilated in detail. Mass murder ect.

While new movie doesn't really do that aspect justice it does Pennywise so much better he actually felt like a monster in this adaptation

well there's a lot they could do. The black spot, Bradley gang, kitchener workshop, maybe show more of his kills use some of the original creatures from the book. The Bird, Mummy, dead boys, black lagoon monster, leeches etc

Oh forgot werewolf and eye ball monster

You are worried about spoilers from a movie that is redone from.ome 27 years ago that was made from a book.

Did you think Pennywise was a wise wizard fighting orcs on the way to Gondor in this version?

Also, seeing the title is from the movie, are you to stupid to realize that maybe there will be discussion on the topic listed in the topic heading?

So how long do I have to wait to discuss something that's been out for 33 years in print?

I typically dont either. I'd rather hear what regular people say.
Movie critics are beyond retarded most days, and even Titanic made a fortune.
So I listen to what people think and make my call from that. But this onw breaking records i think earned its spot.

Guess having Molly Ringwald made it feel 80ish. And while decent it was horrible compared to the book. I swear reading that 1500 page behemoth was scary as **** especially if you got the sniffles while reading

I read yesterday that they considered putting the orgy scene in but then figured the backlash would be to much and they went the route if Beverly taking each boys face in her hands. Two different scripts as well where one director was changed. That I didn't know.

dayum.  Reminds me of the time I did a caving trip in New Zealand.  Halfway through there was this 10 foot ledge everyone had to jump off and land butt first while holding a tire inner tube to said butt so you basically don't land feet first in the water.  Very clear and stern warnings, don not land feet first in the water.  Woman lands feet first in the water, breaks her leg, rest of the trip cancelled while she is carried out of the cave

Brutal! That would be an awkward way to land, butt first. Better than breaking legs though.

And yeah, I decided to watch the original IT yesterday for some closure and I forgot how horrendous that ending was.

yeah, the inner tube basically stops you sinking into the water which wasn't that deep.  Maybe 4 ft deep at most.

I might try watching both again but i really struggle to either get time to watch films without the kids there or stay awake late enough to watch them.

Yeah and the original was a two parter but my download had them together as one. A full 3 hours. It was a journey.

Do people not hit the water and have the force cause them to slip through the tube? Get whiplash? Is it a small one then?
