my canucks are winning lately. 3 in a row! cant remember the last time ive seen them doing that ever since before they started to rebuild
but man the rangers and habs are off to the worst start ever. even the bruins arent looking that great, even though they whooped our asses last week.
i guess its a good year to be a devils fan so far lol

haha yeah man, no analyst could predict Vegas doing this well. A buddy of mine was always a hockey fan but never officially had a team. We gave him hell for it all the time. Anyway, he decided quite early that Vegas was going to be his time, bought a bunch of swag and everything. I teased him that they were going to have to go through years of disappointment before they were relevant just like the rest of us. Mother **** is spoiled lol
Also, is Backstrom Vancouver's number 1 goalie? I see the other guy getting a lot of starts.

markstrom is our starter. he's the can we got as part of the luongo trade. i dont have much confidence in him. if ryan miller wasnt so old and past his prime and overpaid, i would have been pissed to see him not get resigned. he's never been the same since giving up that golden goal to crosby. i think it permanently wrecked his confidence. and then they throw him in there with the canucks who are already going through an identity crisis and now the poor guy is gonna be scarred for life.
yeah that andres nilsson dude we got is okay i guess. 3-2 record but it was the rest of the team that lost him those games, and he's got 2 shutouts. . i think he played again the other day against washington cause markstrom was sick. i dont think he'll be ready to be a starter in the nhl for a while but we'll see where he goes in the next few years
the rest of the time we just used him cause we'd play back to back games and we always play our 2nd goalie in one of them

I felt the exact same way about Miller. Completely over valued and it was smart to get rid of him.
2 shutouts in 5 games is pretty sweet for Nilsson

his first game was a shutout, then the team shat the bed and he lost. and then he got a shutout the next game. and hes been on and off since.
i dunno whos starting tonight. probably markstrom. we're playing dallas. theyre off to a rough start this year

i predict its tied with a minute or two to go in the third and jersey scores
seems to be our downfall every game. except for this season. we havent found a way to blow it in the last minute yet. only in overtime.
we had a breakaway but hit the goal post in overtime against dallas the other day and then they came back with the puck and scored.
dallas also hit the underside of the crossbar so hard in the game it lifted the net off when it went in, but they still counted it as a goal. so we didnt catch any breaks despite obliterating them most of the game. it was a fun one to watch but we should have got more than just a point for that

7pm start over here. same time as we always play our home games
except if its saturday night and we're playing toronto, or if its game 7 of the stanley cup finals, then they drop the puck at 4.

robbed again by cory schneider
story of the game. god damnit. the only save vancouver had to make this period was by a forward on a shot at the open net. still couldnt make it work
