why would you say that? the main event is meh but the card has depth

Depth doesn't sell PPVs.

Star power in the main event sells PPVs.

If depth sold PPVs, last year's MSG show would've been the best selling show of the year.

It was third.

I guarantee this event tops 300K.

The first Aldo/Holloway fight did 200,000. You really think 100,000 more people are suddenly going to be interested in a rematch that was put together on like three weeks notice?

100K people will buy for Overeem/Ngannou, and Gaethje/Alvarez.

Why is Justin vs Eddie on this card and not the Ultimate Fighter Finale.

Because they knew the PLATINUM SQUAD was going to be in attendance, and that King Banham has been an Eddie fan since day one just like I've been a Gaethje fan since day one.

I'd wager and say it may even do 400k. Stacked card and the ufc is riding a bit of momentum now after 217 plus it's the holidays so more people are staying in.

Because you don't put a LIT fight like that on free TV and make no money off it that's why.

Really well balanced card. Haven't had one of these for a while. Future two division champion queen Felice on the card as well. Everyone's a winner.

Who are people feeling for MH/JA 2?

Is Aldo going to be coming hard with the leg kicks this time?

I like Max, how can you not?, but wouldn't mind seeing Aldo back at the top of the tree

Nah, leg kicks don't work well with a guy with long reach.  He threw a couple early doors and promptly ate an OH right.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Jose win again, but I think Max will be a bit better than last time and Aldo a bit worse.  Have a feeling that Aldo stays a bit more out of trouble and maybe loses to a decision this time.
