I know this is already being done in several other threads, but I thought it would be interesting to pull the logical arguments into one thread and add a vote. I find it interesting as all 3 men have some kind of a case.
Pros - just smashed a former champion. On a 9-1 streak at MW
Cons - only fought the champ last year, and lost without any controversy. Missed weight in last outing
Pros - Former champ who was originally due a rematch. Only one of the 3 who hasn't already fought Whittaker
Cons - 1-3 in his last four. Lost convincingly to one of the other contenders
Pros - Has never fought for the UFC MW belt. Arguably had the most convincing win of all 3 in last fight
Cons - lost convincingly to Whittaker when they fought.
The more I think about it, the more I don't see a clear cut no.1 contender and would favour a match between 2 of them to decide. By a very narrow margin, I would favour Jacare v Weidman as I feel Romero had it in his own hands to already be the interim champ and put this question to bed.
Please vote using the poll, and respect the fact-based premise of this thread.
