De La Hoya trying to book Liddell vs Tito for new fight league

Recommended Posts

Wouldnt be any different than the gimmick matches the NewFC is trying to make.

I mean GSP vs Diaz at lightweight, vs Tito vs Chuck.

Chuck may sell more PVP's honestly.

What one did you not like?

Wasn't a fan of either tbh. I disliked Tito though. Indifferent to Chuck.

Back to reality.

2qlsdtu.jpg

The reality is Chuck is 48 years old, his last fight was 8 years ago and he got KTFO 4 times in his last 6.  His lights completely go off when hit, and by completely off, I mean laying on the ground blowing bubbles.  The closest Tito has ever been to out cold was the first Liddell fight.

Tito has the chin advantage, the age advantage and the advantage of having actually fought as recently as last year.

A loss would be terrible for Chuck's legacy and another knockout could be all it takes for him to be drooling on a bib 10 years from now.

His 6 year age advantage won't matter, not even going to debate who would win because it's ridiculous at this point.  He was getting beat up by Chuck when he was champ.  Then ducked so they made an interim title.  When old man Couture scored the upset Tito was happy to fight him.  Didn't work out so well despite his 12 year age advantage.

I can't believe this fight is even being discussed in 2018.  These guys made MMA debuts over 2 decades ago.  They are both worth 15 million dollars.  I don't understand how that's not enough to stay retired.

MMA really is dead if the current hot topics are Chuck vs Tito 3 and Chunky Dern being a fat slob. :(

Tito's last TKO was Shamrock. He has very little power in his punches and solely relies on his wrestling. Tito has been fighting but poorly, if he doesn't get the takedown then he loses.

Chuck did get Ko'ed a lot in a short amount of time but it was by mostly KO artists. Shogun, Franklin, and Rampage all have a lot of KO's on their record. That punch from Rashad would KO anyone. There are people in the UFC with way more KO losses than Liddell. If the guy wants to fight then we can think it's a bad idea but it's his life. This is a fight he can win at least.

Overeem and Arlovski combine for about 30 knockout losses.

Do you need medical attention?

Not yet but I'm getting there.

My love of human cawk fighting is starting to fade.  The greatest welterweight and middleweight in the world Nick Diaz doesn't fight anymore.  Evil shadow agents poisoned his career.  Welterweights are scared to stand in the pocket and go one for one with Mike Perry.  lol WMMA is getting way too much attention considering there's about 4 of them in the world that can actually fight.

It's dark times old chap.  I'm just waiting for the two greatest fighters in the world to square off July 7th.  I'll actually buy that PPV, cash my bovada check on DC by decision prop and then I'm gone.  :(

As if Tito would even come out of retirement. He’s got plenty going on without having to fight

He already said that he is in.
