Step 0.5 don't sleep with another guy's missus, especially if he's got a sledgehammer and a pickup.

Step 0.25: sleep with his mother instead and make him call you father. It's like automatic plot armor.

Saw this on the news yesterday and knew it would be prime candidate for that channel.

Step 1: Don't get out of the car of a guy that's swinging a sledgehammer at it.

Step 2: If you ignore step 1, don't jump out of car when it's cutting a hard u-turn

Step 3: Don't walk leisurely by guy swinging sledge hammer.

Hard to feel bad for anybody in that video, especially a guy who lets himself get cornered in a parking lot with 1 exit.

I'd have jumped in his truck and run the prick over

The irony is the guy probably just wanted to send a message for the guy to stay away from his wimmin but now that guy will probably be laying the hammer down on her for the next 5-10 while he serves.

Don't defend your family or yourself b/c someone else might, maybe, eventually could get hurt.

Honestly, the day I felt I needed all this stuff to feel safe.....I'd move somewhere civilized.

crazy one...my answer is No

LOL yeah obviously just give them the car and get the fook out of there w neice. Kind of dumb reaction to go into driveway but at the same time if she sped off they could have started shooting at her. Obviously you comply in that situation even if you are armed.

Obvious answer is no. If this was in Brazil though, I would assume my baby is packing heat and try to overpower them.

Lady had no chance, armed or not. Did you see how terribly she judo tossed that baby, tried to mount, and then got reversed to guard.

Alternative title should be "4 heroes rescue baby from terrible mom who lets baby ride in front seat with no seat belt"

Sounds like they caught the 1 that fled on foot. They'll cut him a deal and he'll turn on the rest of the Dindu Tribe.

Three of the suspects proceed to get into the minivan, while the fourth suspect flees on foot, the video shows. That suspect was later arrested by police, and now faces murder and felony deadly conduct charges, according to Houston police.

According to police, the suspects in the video are connected to a homicide that took place earlier that day near the carjacking. The previous shooting killed 53-year-old and injured a 22-year-old, ABC-owned station KTRK reported.

A+ Bravery

B+ Mobility ( < that's the main thing that saved her bacon imo )

C Accuracy

C- Nerves

Didn't really like at all how she was one handing that gun far away from her body. If you're gonna shoot one handed keep it low to the hip and elbow closed locking it and creating a sort of frame with your body for better accuracy recoil control. If you can it's always better to go two handed in a slightly bladed stance so you're less of a target and can direct fire better.

I know this is just a movie but this is a good example. Tom was trained well for this film. Believe he trained with some Delta guys for that movie.

giphy.gif

That being said the Chick in that video is marriage material as far as i'm concerned lol.

Not gonna lie watching some of these makes me wanna buy a gun and start training. Not even so much for self defense i just think it would be fun.

Guys.... in a real life situation its reaaaaaaaaaly reallly hard to be on point no matter what training you have...its better to just comply...most criminals dont care about you so long as you dont get in their way.

That's not true. Comes down to emotional control & training. Stakes are higher but it's no different than fighting.

As for better to comply you only feign that but you need to recognize that they are desperate people and likely just as scared as everyone else too the point they could do something rash & kill anyway but if you are armed and have the opportunity sometimes it's not a bad option to just

so you think the majority of self protection gun owners have good emotional control and proper training? Id venture to guess a very small percentage falls into this category....look at the brazilian chick in that video...she was a trained cop and there were massive holes in her game...shes lucky she didnt get killed.....now imagine 'regular' folks? You are speaking for yourself but I'm sure the majority of population arent compitent in those situations.....

Also what makes you think these robbers had more intentions than to just get a couple of hundreds from that quicke mart? Looks to me they were just going to get the money and leave everyone alone.

Probably not on the emotional control and training but i would agree some situations are just bad tactically no matter how calm or trained you are.

Brazil lady wasn't a good situation to go hard in the paint anyway because she was surrounded in all directions. Only thing that kept here alive probably is she didn't focus on any one person for long and stayed pretty mobile. She's got balls though and i hespect that should took action.

As far as robbers just wanting to take money i don't care if they get blasted. If they're willing to go that length then fk 'em. If someone is armed and the situation is right first opportunity they have they should kill them because they're a waste of life anyway and a danger to others.

The woman in the vehicle should have just speed off. She's lucky those guys didn't just shoot her and keep the baby as a hostage. Sure they could have shot at her as she sped off but it's the better move.

Guy in the garage handled himself like a boss. Idiots didn't know when they closed that garage they just created a death trap.

this thread is a great example as to why guns are bad.

Isn't this the part where you post some video of James Corden, and nobody watches it?

Does this guy have any close quarters hand to hand type videos. I saw the one with the guy in the garage grabbing the muzzle to re-direct which is a good tactic. I've seen Rener Gracie demonstrate that before with a live gun going off and it won't hurt you unless of course you're in the path of the shot.

Guns are great for self defense at a distance but knowing a few hand to hand tactics for close encounters which happen more frequent than people think i.e. someone get the drop on you makes you that much harder to kill. If you're srs about self defense you should know both imo.

I don't really understand why he didn't just pull out his gun and shoot the guy in the balls.

Today's video lol

Nice. His jitz skills are a little sloppy but at least he has some skills which is better than nothing. I liked that he used the wall to help control him. Taking the back is iffy both standing and on the ground.

Having a two on one + side body lock clinch & dominant head posish or having the back standing from the side ( not square ) with the two on one arm pinned arm is a must imo in a close quarters situation trying to disarm a weapon. Over and under is ok-ish with and overhook and pinching the wrist to your lats but takedowns are harder. Single collar tie & Thai clinch are a no no since you don't control the weapon hand at all.

It's best from the side body lock because it's easier to control them, fold their body and take them down and it helps prevents them from passing it to the other arm as easily

I'm a little conflicted on how to answer that poll, but if I had the drop on the guy (like this guy did), It's probably wise to issue verbal command....however, you'd have to be very confident in your skill set to allow the guy time to raise his own weapon.
