Anthony Pettis vs Tony Ferguson confirmed UFC 229

Recommended Posts

How did Pettis jump all the way up to challenging Tony?

He's 1-1 in his last two, 2-2 in his last four, and 3-5 in his last eight.

Good post

Dan hooker would have been a more competitive fight

they want to know where Ferguson is after injury/ layoff and they want to know if AP is back,

... ufc wins either way - typical

fun fight! Pettis doesn't deserve the matchup but it should be awesome to watch. Ferg TKO or Pettis sub for me

Pettis not subbing T-Ferg.

Hit ground game way better

Pettis:

7-5 in his last 12 = 58.1% win rate.

10-6 in his last 16 = 62.5% win rate.

21-7 in his last 28 = 74.97% win rate.

Better?

Of his five losses in his last 12, three of those were to current or former champions, and one of them was a sketchy decision (Alvarez). All of them were to guys ranked in the top five.

75% win rate is way too high, especially when you're doing high spots off the cage like Pettis

Dude is a legend, he deserves the toughest competition, any random can go 100 and 0 fighting idiots ala GSP

Pettis will KO him if Tony shows up.

He wont

Talking about showing up with a Nate Diaz photo

Dude has only fought midget Featherweights for the past 5 years

Funny how Justin was really throwing his name on the hat to fight Ferg.

Well, he is like, the number 2 guy in the division. Beating him has title shot implications, of course he called for the fight.

Personally, I'm hoping for McGregor/Pettis for the belt on the July 4th card. It might pull nearly 2 million buys.

TSU i feel like I've known you for awhile so I feel comfortable telling you this without hurting your feelings too much.

Conor will NEVER hold the LW title again.

I know you are a pessimist, so I don't hold it against you, but Conor McGreGOAT is going to hit Khabib so hard, he's going to come out of the cage a Buddhist.
