UFC Fort Lauderdale has a new main event.

After going from Yoel Romero vs. Paulo Costa to Romero vs. Ronald Souza 2, the ESPN card in Florida will now be headlined by “Jacare” vs.Jack Hermansson n, sources told MMA Fighting following a report by ESPN.

The UFC card will take place at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on April 27.

This will mark the second fight for Hermansson inside a month who dispatched Dave Branch just two weekends ago to move him from being a previously unranked fighter to 10th ranked guy in the division.

Now he's set to go up against 3rd ranked Jacare Souza meaning that if Jack wins he could go from unranked to potentially next in line for the title in just a month.

Hermansson would have a good case for it as well as he is currently riding a 3 fight win streak, has won 5 of his last 6 fights and 4 of those wins have come in the first round.

It'll be pretty close to even money.

No.  Munster is a bum.  Jarare is going to walk straight through him

If he finishes Jacare he will probably be only one W away from title shot considering the MW title picture.

He will most likely fight Romero next I would think

Disappointed that Yoel is out of this one but props to The Joker for stepping in on short notice for the biggest fight of his career.
