Recommended Posts

Baseball in the United States is known as "America's pastime". Many of us grew up watching and listening to games and the announcers became a part of our everyday lives. Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster Harry Kalas passed away today. The voice of the Philadelphia Phillies since 1971, Harry was beloved not only in our city but throughout the baseball world for being a man with a passion for people, for life, and of course for baseball. He witnessed and made legendary calls for World Series Championships in 1980 and 2008 and was also the long time voice of NFL Films. Baseball has lost one its true gentlemen and our community has lost a member its family. Harry Kalas, dead at the age of 73. We'll miss you buddy.
