  1. Time for another regional projection card. This time we travel to jolly ol' England where I can see this card being held in one of three cities: Liverpool (obvious), London (capitol) or Birmingham. And of course they can be held in the outdoor football stadiums weather permitting, so Anfield, Tottenham Stadium or St. Andrew's. Or maybe even Wembley but idk about that one. Given the current roster's Englishmen and their approximate standings, the UFC could produce quite an England vs. the world card. Admittedly there is a bit of a drop off from the main card to the rest but it is still respectable and would make for an amazing homefield advantage. Of course, there is no way all fighters would be fit at the exact same time but this is as always just a what if. It would also be a good display of how far English MMA has gotten compared to their European counterparts. Bisping and Dan Hardy on the commentary. Main Card: Leon Edwards Vs. Jorge Masvidal - Grudge match main event, no titles, just fun Paddy Pimblett Vs. Rafael Fiziev - Give Paddy a ranked opponent straight away. Not Islam just yet, but a good test Tom Aspinall Vs. Derrick Lewis - If Tom wins, give him title eliminator Darren Till Vs. Jack Hermansson - Darren with the all or nothing Arnold Allen Vs. Korean Zombie - Arnold Allen goes 9-0 in UFC Prelims: Nathaniel Wood Vs. Jack Shore - England v. Wales Molly McCann Vs. Antonina Shevchenko - England's only dame for now Lerone Murphy Vs. Ryan Hall - Lerone is still undefeated Davey Grant Vs. Umar Nurmagomedov - Davey Grant puts on a show no matter what Early Prelims: Marc Diakese Vs. Joel Alvarez - A comeback fight for the once-hyped Diakese Tom Breese Vs. Roman Dolidze - English vs Euro Jai Herbert Vs. Damir Hadzovic - more English vs. Euro Danny Roberts Vs. David Zawada - even more English vs. Euro There it is. I'd predict a narrow England win, 7-6.
  2. It’s not that crazy given chimaevs size and how dominant he has been even outside of mma. And its also not that crazy to assume that Usman vs Chimaev would sell maybe twice as much Usman vs. Edwards, wrong as it may be.
  3. Let’s hope, but let’s also keep in mind that there’s broomsticks bigger than that boy.
  4. So there’s no one left for Usman to defend against unless you’re GSP. Wonderboy and Leon Edwards may as well fight for the meanwhile while Khamzat kicks the Covid. And if they do, it would be extremely disrespectful to Leon but how realistic is it for Chimaev to get the next shot at the title based on just his hype? We’ve seen the true next in line get jumped before countless times cause Dana (usually) knows what sells and we’ve seen hype get fighters fast title shots before, Lesnar vs. Couture style. So if Wonderboy and edwards fight soon and Masvidal and Colby are tied up, should Khamzat get a shot in the summer. Or better yet, will he? I say he should, give Usman a wild card while he’s still hot and sell the fight on the speculation of how good we think Khamzat can be.
  5. Tbf I saw this match up posted in one of those random Russian mma Instagram pages. Anyways, being that it’s fight island, another good matchup for this dude would be Demian Maia but I would hate to see such a legend get pounded into oblivion, and on the flip side it would be a bummer to see such a hype machine like Chimaev get choked out. Rankings wise there’s also Gunnar or another tough dude is Li Jingliang. Lots of matchups folks.
  6. UFC 254 is looking to be stacked, on fight island and full of Russians. Lots of fights have already been booked, and UFC have the potential to put on the greatest UFC Russia show maybe ever. Ferguson vs. Poirier on this card is a great addition although a bit frustrating (when it happens) to once again see both Tony and Khabib make it to fight day on the same day yet not fight each other (truly cursed). Anyways, here's a wishlist/prediction of the rest of the card. Thoughts? 5/5 on paper? Main Card: Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs. Justin Gaethje Tony Ferguson Vs. Dustin Poirier Robert Whittaker Vs. Jared Cannonier Zabit Magomedsharipov Vs. Yair Rodriiguez Islam Makhachev Vs. Rafael dos Anjos Pre-lims: Khamzat Chimaev Vs. Anthony Pettis Alexander Volkov Vs. Walt Harris Nikita Krylov Vs. Paul Craig Cynthia Calvillo Vs. Lauren Murphy Early Pre-lims Da Un Jung Vs. Sam Alvey Umar Nurmagomedov Vs. Sergey Morozov Maryna Moroz Vs. Cortney Casey Said Nurmagomedov Vs. Davey Grant
  7. And you figured out how to curse by using normal characters and still not getting censored! Genius!
  8. Aww is someone butthurt over my last post? You sound angry, I’d recommend stepping away from forums for just a second, exit your moms basement and get some fresh air, it’s good for you and it might help with the anger. Either way, thank you for your input!
  9. (With help from referencing Brian Mazique's articles @ forbes.com) So the full roster is out for UFC 4 and it is ummmm, uneventful but we shouldn't be surprised should we? Now, I did post a EA UFC 4 roster topic before but for whatever reason it didn't get a good reaction (lol). This however is a bit more on the up & up and now that we actually have a confirmed roster, here are some interesting facts, and yes this is taking into account that timing plays an unfortunate role in determining roster and some of these entries are not EA's fault or they could not have done anything about given the timing. Nonetheless, they still have to be pointed out. First off, there are 232 unique players in this game. Not quite the 5 to 6 hundred on the roster + legends but that is no biggie as having that many fighters is unrealistic and unnecessary. However, here are the players who did make the cut that are no longer even in the UFC, not including past legends. And admittedly, some of these exits are VERY recent. That said: Cris Cyborg (Understandable if she is included as a Legend) Paige Van Zant (recent) Bethe Correia (recent) Ronda Rousey (unless included as a Legend) Miesha Tate (unless included as a Legend) Demetrious Johnson (unless included as a Legend) Renan Barao Joe Duffy (recent) Evan Dunham (recent) Johny Hendricks Erick Silva Lyoto Machida (unless included as a Legend) Luke Rockhold (may comeback) Corey Anderson (recent) Understandably, EA had these templates already. But if that will continue to be the excuse for lackluster rosters moving forward, it's disappointing from a giant like EA. Also, keep in mind that they dropped 58 fighters who were featured in UFC 3 whose template they also had, although most of them were also out of the UFC to be fair. I will include that list lastly, for reference. On a similar note, they also included fighters who are still on roster but who have not fought in 2 or 3 years +, and who may be on the way out, such as: Jessica Penne (last fought in 2017) Iuri Alcantara (last fought in 2018) Johnny Eduardo (last fought in 2018) CM Punk (don't care if fought yesterday) An interesting tidbit on the timing issue: The current champions at Female Flyweight (Weili), Men's Flyweight (Figueredo), Men's BW (Yan) and Men's Featherweight (Volkanovski) were not even in UFC 3 and since that game they have become champs which are of course included now, but it does go to show the challenges that must be involved in keeping a current roster. Finally and most crucially, here are some of the more GLARING omissions by weight class which again, have to do with timing but some are just a facepalm. They do tend to add fighters in periodic updates so hopefully some of the big names here can fall into that. Many (not all) of these guys have been in the UFC for at least 3 years too btw: HEAVYWEIGHTS: Greg Hardy Cyril Gane Blagoy Ivanov Augusto Sakai Shamil Abdurakhimov LIGHT HW: (a division dying for new faces) Magomed Ankalaev Aleksandr Rakic Ion Cutelaba Jimmy Crute Paul Craig Khalil Rountree Ryan Spann MIDDLEWEIGHT: Kevin Holland Rodolfo Vieira Marvin Vettori Antonio Carlos Junior Deron Winn Gerald Meerschaert Makhmud Muradov WELTERWEIGHT: KHAMZAT CHIMAEV (ok, he's brand new but still!) Vicente Luque Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos Michel Pereira Geoff Neal Li Jingliang Randy Brown Bryan Barbarena LIGHTWEIGHT: Islam Makhachev Lando Vannata Carlos Diego Ferreira Mark O. Madsen Nasrat Haqparast Arman Tsarukyan Drew Dober FEATHERWEIGHT: Bryce Mitchell Calvin Kattar Andre Fili Kron Gracie Ryan Hall Zubaira Tukhugov Luis Garagorri Shane Burgos Luis Pena Billy Quarantillo BANTAMWEIGHT: Marlon Vera Pedro Munhoz Nathaniel Wood Rob Font Merab Dvalishvili FLYWEIGHT: Kai Kara France Manel Kape Rogerio Bontorin LADIES: Amanda Ribas Maycee Barber Jessica-Rose Clark Rachel Ostovich Sijara Eubanks Andrea Lee Roxanne Modafferi Molly McCann Nicco Montano Bea Malecki Ashley Yoder Yan Xiaonan Wow. So that's 65 names which again, is excessive and we may see some of them in the future but some of those omissions are just a bummer. If we are to wait over two years for the next game (which is more than fair), it would be nice if they put more of an emphasis on the roster so it would look more current and hold us off for the 2.5 years. So with this info in mind, any thoughts on the roster? Would it dissuade any of you from getting the game upon release or is it not as big a deal to you? For the mods, I do hope you leave this post up as it is not as much of a joke as my last one, and i leave you with the list of players who were featured in UFC 3 and are not featured in UFC 4 (many rightfully so): Thiago Alves Jake Ellenberger Dong Hyun Kim Pascal Krauss Ryan LaFlare Hyun Gyu Lim Hector Lombard Jordan Mein Mike Pyle Tarec Saffiedine Ben Saunders Matt Serra Tim Boetsch David Branch CB Dollaway Cezar Ferreira Daniel Kelly Thales Leites Elias Theodorou Patrick Cummins Andre Bishop Travis Browne Mirko Cro Cop Isaac Frost Mark Hunt Tim Johnson Ruslan Magomedov Juliana Lima Bec Rawlings Jessica Aguilar Alexandra Albu Alex Chambers Kailin Curran Liz Carmouche Leslie Smith John Moraga Ben Nguyen Dustin Ortiz Sergio Pettis Wilson Reis Justin Scoggins Bryan Carraway Tom Duquesnoy Mitch Gagnon Chris Holdsworth Joe Soto Dennis Bermudez Teruto Ishihara Myles Jury Gray Maynard Chad Mendes Chad Laprise Olivier Aubin-Mercier Will Brooks Gilbert Melendez Sage Northcutt Ross Pearson Abel Trujillo Cheers, feel free to send this to someone a EA if you know them!
  10. So I tried to find this topic but was surprised not to. Even more surprising? UFC has never had a Brazilian WW champion like ever. Some might say that with USADA doing their thing, that stat will remain but sooner or later I think we will see a Brazilian finally lift it at 170. Bellator has theirs after all. So with Gilbert Burns’ big but unsurprising win this past event, it goes without saying he looks good. Championship-caliber good? Who knows. But he might do it, as might RDA who came within touching distance, and although we might not see Demian Maia pull a Bisping and win it late, he hasn’t retired yet. Then of course we have the up-and-comers and the journeymen who haven’t climbed the ranks but can still win fights, Cowboy Oliveira style. Obviously fighters like him are a gargantuan stretch but for the sake of competition, who ya got?
