Okami actually did better than I expected...

am I the only one that thinks so?

even when Anderson was trying to toy with him with his hands down, Okami was connecting a lot of those shots... Anderson's stellar jabs won him this fight, but if he was pulling that with someone with a better chin or someone with quicker, stronger hands he would have easily been on the receiving end of a beatdown...

it was so anti-climatic at the end of the day... we really need someone to challenge Silva...

The only person in the middleweight division who would give him a challenge is Chael Sonnen. Sonnen would come after him. He wouldn't be like Okami and just stand there to get KO'd and never shoot for a takedown. Pathetic performance by Okami.

Okami did exactly what Chael said. 'If he stays on the outside, he'll have some problems.." Instead of closing the distance and utilizing his obvious size advantage, he stayed on the outside and let Anderson pick his shots.

As far as mentality goes, Sonnen seems to be the only one who isn't afraid to cross that mystical barrier that Silva has around him, and punch him in the face.

Okami was scared to push the pace and that is what cost him the fight. Silva is a guy who can't fight without a rythm. The first 1-2 minutes of the fight he's doing nothing but finding the rythm. If you push the pace, you have a bigger chance of winning. Sonnen proved that and if does the same thing in the rematch, he'll win it IF he has built some triangle defense.

Sonnen has horrible submission defense. He will get submitted even faster in the rematch haha.

Silva let Okami punch him. He moved his head just enough to not get hurt by them. He does not do that with real strikers
