I thought that with all the changes, this is going to be the best TUF season to date!

Recommended Posts

1) Fight to get in the house bar raised. They fight under the big lights at the casino, but never see the house or the UFC facility unless they win. Really gives these guys a taste of what the big show is if they ever get there.

2) Lighter Weight classes ROCK! And these guys are all prepared and skilled. Yes, some more polished than others, but man were those fights awesome. Better than any fight-to-get-in set that's been done. Some nice cinderella stories too.

3) Finishing Bonuses - Shoulda been instituted long ago. I love the incentive to make the finish dramatic.

Love it, can't wait. If this is any indication of what they are going to do when they move TUF to FOX, I'm all for it.

Cheers!

SO hard to say. Some KO's/Subs were too fast to see depth, conditioning, etc. Have to see a few more episodes to get a better picture of the character of these guys. But I'm looking forward to this season like no other. How bout you? What are your thoughts on favorites?

I agree. I haven't been on these forums in a long time, but I came back specifically to say "Great Job UFC on season 14!!" So far, this Has been one of the most exciting seasons in years (and I've enjoyed all of them). Well done and keep up the good work!

This is in line with the fact that Every complaint I've had about the UFC, they have endeavored to improve: from the UFC TV to showing all the prelims. Whatever anyone's opinion of Dana White and the UFC, you have to admit that they really do try to listen to the fans and give them what they want!

I've really enjoyed this season as well, and although I had reservations about bringing Mayhem Miller back to the UFC for coaching gig, he's turned out to be great for the gig.

Here's another vote for the lighter weight classes. I believe that the talent pool of fighters in the more established classes was really running dry, especially with all the other options out there for fighters (Bellator, Shark Fights, pre-Zuffa Strikeforce, etc). There aren't as many organizations with bantams and feathers, so we're getting a deeper pocket of available guys.

I also love the fact that these guys finish the fight at almost the same pace they started. Contrast this season with season 10 (heavyweights), where guys were staring at each other from across the octagon, hands on knees, desperately gasping for breath... at the end of the 1st round nonetheless. The Rothwell v. Hunt fight reminded me of that season.

I'd love to see an all-flyweight TUF season to kick off the launch of the UFC's own flyweight division. A lot of cast members other than just the winner would be likely to get contracts as well.
