It would make a lot of sense. Not sure if it will play out that way though. The Heavyweight division has a lot better depth these days.

MMA_170
Why? If he beats Kongo thats a step down. Browne is overated
Sir_Wesley_of_Wells
If he beats Kongo, he should fight either the Nelson/Cro Cop winner or Carwin. Both fights would be a good test to gauge where he stands in the division.

MMA_170
I think he will. Pat should have had him and he trains with Mitrione. He has grown on me since TUF so I'm rooting for him all the way

kapst
If Meathead somehow manages to beat Kongo, Travis Browne will be at least one win, probably two, away from Mitriones level, imho.
Leiting
Am I the only one who is still not sold on Meathead as a legit up and comer? Like, seriously, I can't fathom him ever become a true contender. Maybe I'm wrong, and if so I'm sure someone will bring up this post to throw it in my face, but as of right now I simply can't see it.

But the guy shows he has a pretty decent stand up game. We have also seen him get up off his back. Maybe he will never get a title shot, but he is a up comer.
